Lindsay (Guild Wars 2 Support) Jul 16 22:40 Hello Robert, Thank you for providing that error message. I am not sure why you are being directed to our support site. I am not seeing anything in out system that is blocking the purchases. Have you tried contacting PayPal to see if they have any information to provide? Also have you tried resetting your cache? Sometimes this works for players. Please let us know if you have any further issues or questions. If this error still persists please contact customer care." And then there is a 'button' below that says, "Contact Support" on it. Josh (Guild Wars 2 Support) Jul 16 02:08 Hello Robert, Thanks for providing that information. We actually can't view attachments that are provided within the support system. Is it possible you can type the error message within this support ticket? Also, it's possible you could use a credit/debit card to complete your purchase, assuming this is a possible payment option for you. We look forward to your reply. My daughter needed to go to Duluth, so I was able to pay for them online and pick them up in-store. It is so weird that you guys are getting that 'unresolved account issue' kick-back from PayPal because I have talked to them at length and they did all of their investigative research and were not able to find anything in error with either my PayPal account, PayPal payment options or any other factor on their end. I am including a screenshot of the error I receive. Thanks for your time and attention to this matter. I did not have this payment issue with buying gems in-game until after your company switched over to using Digital River, Inc. When it was still NCSoft the PayPal payment always went through without a hitch. At any rate, thank you. It looks like my only options from this point forward will be to purchase through some other means than in-game, via Digital River, Inc., as that is clearly not working. Tim (Guild Wars 2 Support) Jul 13 17:10 Hi Robert, Thanks for writing in. I can see that you must have made it in to town to get some Gem Cards, as I see that you've redeemed a few since submitting this ticket. I'm sorry to see that you've been having some trouble in the Gem Store. When reviewing your orders, I do see that the error that we're returning is typical with unresolved account issues with PayPal. When trying to get authorization for the collection of funds, PayPal is returning an error and we can not complete the purchase. Out of curiosity, do you get a specific error on your screen when you try to make a purchase, or does it simply say, "Authorization Failed"? We look forward to your reply. I am escalating your ticket for further assistance. A member of the team will be in contact with you as soon as the issue has been fully reviewed. Regards, Lares Guild Wars 2 Support Team http://support.guildwars2.com/ Spr808 Jul 11 16:58 I just recently (about 30 minutes ago) attempted to purchase gems in-game through the BLTC, paying via Paypal. It goes through the purchasing steps to the point of logging in and paying through Paypal; and then the transaction fails. I have had this issue twice before, a few months ago. Both of those times I submitted a a ticket just the same as I am doing now. Both of those times *I talked to* an ArenaNet Customer Service Representative AND *a PayPal Customer Service Representative*. Both of those times *I was told by* BOTH ArenaNet and *PayPal* CSRs that *the issue 'was on the other end'*; meaning ArenaNet said that there was no problem with their system and that the transaction should go through and that I need to talk to PayPal about why it was not going through; and that *PayPal said that there was no problem with their system and that the transaction should go through and that I need to talk to ArenaNet about why it was not going through.* This is very frustrating as I live 2 1/2 hrs from the nearest retail store that might have GW2 Gem Cards in-stock. I don't often "go to the city" and my most efficient means of purchasing is through the internet. I would prefer to deal directly with the ArenaNet in-game system as it (in the past when it actually did work for me) is almost instantaneously sent to me in-game, rather than having to buy through BestBuy or Amazon and having to wait for the physical card to be shipped to me. Yes, I have tried different web browsers (ie. Internet Explorer). Yes, I have disabled my virus protections. Nothing seems to work other than the times that it DID work BEFORE ArenaNet switched to Digital River, Inc. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I sincerely hope that this matter is resolved soon, as it is impeding profits to ArenaNet, and causing undue aggravation to players. Respectfully, Eight O Eight.8257
