Guild Wars 2

The time has come for another Asura character. Nothing wrong with my little Ozwikk, he kicks tail as a Guardian. But I love the little Asura, and being tied to just one story is frustrating.

So I’m planning out my next little guy. Ozwikk is a Statics, and proud of it, he has faith in tried and true methods, which help lend him his Guardian powers. Since I don’t want to follow the same story, my soon to be new ranger will have to be a Dynamic or a Synergist… Synergeticist… whatever. What school do you think would be more fitting for a ranger? I’m leaning slightly more towards Dynamics, but I’m still not entirely sure.

I’m asking you for your opinions while I tackle an equally difficult decision, his name.

Just check out which colleges the skill trainers are in. That’s how I chose which for each class. The ranger trainer is in the college of dynamics.

Both work. depends on how you view your character.

Synergetics: The eb and flow of different energies and patterns and mystical complexities can be translated into how you and your beast intertwine and that can be further extrapolated on how you intertwine with nature and the greater world.

Dynamics: spontaneously imagining potential solutions to problems no one else yet perceives, you may be enthusiastic about the experimental methods of how to solve problems with nature oriented methods. While being equally intrigued and excited by the unstable nature and unpredictability of introducing wild animals into those solutions.

generally speaking, the professions/colleges break down like this:

Statics: Soldiers (Guardian, Warrior)
Dynamics: Explorers (Engineer, Ranger, Thief)
Synergetics: Scholars (Elementalists, Mesmers, Necromancers)

you can tell by the NPCs on the top floor of Rata Sum. that said, it depends entirely on the outlook you want your ranger to have on how the world works and what his place in it is
