I’ve been toying around with the custom music playlists recently and it worked somewhat ok for the main menu, somewhat quiet but still able to hear it. Although when I put in battle music you can barely hear it playing if nothing is going on around you, IE fighting etc.

My sound settings already have music higher than any other setting and OST in-game music plays at normal volume. I’ve been using Media Player to create and save the files (.m3u). I’ve tried Google to see if anything like this came up, which a few threads from awhile ago pop up, but they dead end and have no remedy.

I can’t give you a solution unfortunately but I can tell you it’s not just you. Same thing here. It works but very low volume. Fortunately I can adjust the volume many different ways(system volume, game volume, mic/headset volume) but still it’s annoying.

I like the idea of the custom music but there are a lot of issues to be worked out with it.

Yeah I know we’re far from the only ones who have this problem, the only downside is it seems no one has ever figured it out. Guess I’ll be alt-tabing for more than just dungeon groups now haha…

The custom soundtrack feature should be improved. Like with an in-game menu under options so that players have a way to choose how tracks are random or not and possibly a volume slider.

I had the same problem too. I used Audacity to maximize the volume on the mp3s that were playing too quietly. You can also “trick” the game into shuffling the playlist by creating a blank mp3 (a second-long duration will do) and putting it first on the playlist queue.

Unfortunately said trick doesn’t work with BossBattle playlist.

I know that some areas will not allow your playlists to shuffle. For example most if not all of the Charr region won’t shuffle playlists such as Battle/BossBattle.
