OK, so I have had this problem for months where at least once an hour I hear an echoing bang. Sometimes it’s kind of quiet and then there’s times it’s so loud it actually makes my ears hurt. I hear it on all chars, all zones, and even when I’m tabbed.

Anyone else have this problem?

I have this problem too, and relieved to see someone else posted about it. Unfortunately I have no idea what causes this, or how to stop it. Maybe I’ll keep a note card or something with the times and the last thing I was doing that may have caused that bang. Hmm…

Regardless, though, it’s just a nuisance.

I’ve had the same thing happend to me too. Out of nowhere this sound comes and I’m left scratching my head wondering wtf that was.

First time I heard it was in the Lab in Fractals, during wintersday.

I’ve been experiencing the same sound bug since the beginning of GW2, no clue what causes it.

I was wondering if anyone else noticed this. I’ve heard a variety of loud, echoing bangs as well as have had to contend with the occasional loss of all sound, replaced by this eternal wailing like a siren. I’ve tried to reset all of my audio settings to default but it doesn’t seem to resolve the issue.

I get this issue too when I have sound quality on highest, and sound latency/buffer on lowest, and I’m in wvw where a ton of things happen at once. I’m guessing it’s an engine issue with too many sounds playing at once.

It was happening to me constantly when using my necromancer, but I haven’t played it in a while and noticed that I heard it extremely rarely on other classes.

Necromancer, however, it was constant. several times a day.

I experienced this issue too, sometimes its this Bang, sometimes complete silence. But this happens to me only when I’m in wvw, not in other zones.

I’ve had this problem too, the most irritating of which is when the really loud echoing bang occurs even when I’m tabbed out with the setting “Mute when GW2 is in the background” checked.

I’ve noticed these bangs as well. It seems like it’s a small part of the background noises in-game that has been amplified a lot.

You can even hear it when GW2 isn’t focused and not making any other sounds.

Heard it several times standing around in LA.

The first time that this bug happen to me, it were the steps of my bear what were being amplified. I’ve also heard it while loading into cities.
