The Harp Sheet Music Collection
I can’t offer much, but I tried playing something on the harp yesterday and recorded it:
Ballad/Hymn of the Goddess – Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1T0iSxDd1mM
I will try to play some other songs, but currently I’m totally out of ideas. As you already mentioned, most songs on the flute wouldn’t sound good on the harp (at least not without adapting them with some grace notes).
someone pls do this! PLEASE!!

Someone has posted a very nice version of this one on reddit. Yours plays the same notes obviously, but he has tabs for playing double notes. It gives a very nice effect, one that only the Harp can produce in-game currently.

Here’s the Earth God’s Lyric from Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

Transcribed from the sheet music, which I don’t know if I’m allowed to post. I will attempt to add the chords later. (Edit: added some simple chords) Also, if you’re feeling adventurous, you can team up with another harpist and a flutist and try to replicate this version of the Earth God’s Lyric.
I also hurriedly put together this simple bit for the Hymn of the Fayth from Final Fantasy X:
2 4 3 5
5 4 5 6 2
6 7 5 6
5 4 5 6 2
2 2 3 3 4 4
3 1 1 2 2
(note that this is just how I personally matched the notes- I can’t hear absolute pitch, so they may be a bit off.)
I’ll post videos once I’m better.

I arranged the start of the Morrowind theme for a request from some guy in LA just now. I find it pretty hard to use the text tab formats, so I’ve written it out in sheet music with fingering as the scale degrees you use.
I’m working on a few others, too

Thanks for the compliments (and for advertising my channel g)!
I’m currently rewriting some of my flute tabs for the harp (like the Wind Waker Start Screen/Earth Temple Theme). They work with the flute tabs too, but I’m trying to add some grace notes/chords to some parts, so they sound a bit better on the harp. In case of the Earth Temple Theme it looks like this (notes in brackets are grace notes/chords with separately played notes):
5 (13)5 -0- 13 21 -9- 7 (46)8 64 8686 (45)7 54 8 (4)6 7 (35)8 -0- 23
12 -9- (13)5 5 (13)5 -0- 13 21 -9- 7 (46)8 64 8686 (25)7 8 (57) -0- 2 342 -9- 78 (35)8
…
I haven’t recorded it yet, but I definitely will in the afternoon (CET)… I’ll also adapt my notation to something more readable (like what you are using in this thread). I realize mine is “a bit” difficult to read for anyone but me
PS: I’m female

Here are the tabs for “The Tengu Wall.” I prefer to play the song on the highest octave for the best effect. These are the basic notes, but feel free to embellish it with whatever you like!
24568 – 6565442 – 2465 – 654212
I’ve also included a link to a brief video of what it sounds like in-game, hope you enjoy!
Thank you i really wanted to find some good music that fits the harp
So i’ve been trying some flute music sheets and alot of them really work just as good with a harp soo here’s the ones i think are easy to play with a harp
U=upper octave D=lower octave
Silent Night
5 65 3 5 65 3 U2 2 D7 8 85
6 6 8 76 5 6 5 3 6 6 8 76 5 6 5 3

(6 2 456 2 453 5 1 435 1 432)
(3) 6 (123) 6 (12)7 (2) 587 (2) 5876
Btw i didn’t make any of these i just copied them from the flute Topic and modified it to be easier to play on harp.
Decided to write Hilda’s theme from A Link Between Worlds.
(2)4 234 (2)5 2 (2)4 246 (2)5
(2)4 234 (2)5 2 5 (4)6 54 (3)5 23 (repeat)
PLEASE READ: The brackets mean that note has to be played simultaneously with the note it’s attached to without spaces.
For example, if it says (2)4, the important note for the melody is 4, but press ‘2’ immediately before 4 so it comes out as a chord.
Here’s a new song for you all!
The Sea of Sorrows (AKA Lion’s Arch Theme)
NOTE: (H) means high octave, (M) means medium, (L) means low.
65678 - 765673 - 5678(H)32123 - repeat
Here’s a link to what it sounds like in-game, with grace notes:
I had to make this, because the theme is just too awesome (keep in mind that it’s not possible to play the entire song due to the harp’s limitation).

I got a couple questions. Does the flute tab move over to the harp well for Saria’s song? And, what are the actual notes in each octave?

Yes. It plays very well for Harp. I love to play it. It sounds very accurate.

Not sure how accurate it is but I was playing with the Harp yesterday and I think I made the tune for frère jacques.
4564 – 4564 – 678 – 678 -887654 – 887654 -323 – 323
All done on the middle octave. If someone finds a better tune to match the actual tune PM me and I’ll update this

Just the intro, Starway to Havean by Zeppelin

On the Harp it’s:

3 = E
4 = F
5 = G
6 = A
7 = B
8 = C

You can actually do those awesome Harp sound effects that you hear in that clip. You can get it pretty close, but it won’t be ‘exactly’ the same of course, cause you don’t have all the strings necessary to make certain tones.
I’ll try to make a tab soon on that video and record a video of me playing it. It will probably be almost the same as the existing tab that’s been flying around on the web (for flute, I think it was), except with some dual notes and funky harp sound effects added to it. It does sound rather nice.

The main reason I got the harp was because of Aerith’s Theme. I don’t remember where I heard the harp version but I have been hacking away at trying to put it into the simple keys.
First time fiddling with this type of thing so yarr.

I didn’t actually write that. But i know what it means. The annotations kinda confused me at first too, because it’s different than what most people write in tabs. That’s actually because no one has yet to write tabs where you use this harp-like technique of playing songs. The problem is that numbers in brackets () usually means higher octave. But it actually doesn’t in that tab.
In this tab the numbers inside the brackets () mean that you have to play them really fast after one another. Kinda like gliding your fingers along the keys. So that you get that beautiful harp sound.
The 0 means switching to an higher octave, this is because 0 is binded by default as this key.
The 9 means switching to an lower octave, this is because 9 is binded by default as this key.
I think it will clarify a lot of what I mean when you check out the video of the girl actually playing it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RE8OwB8Xeh0
I’ve rewritten it to make more sense to me in the following example. Note that it’s the same tab, just written differently:
5 -13-5 (13 21) 7 -46-8 64 8686 -45-7 54 8 -4-6 7 -35-8 (2 3 1 2) -13-5
5 -13-5 (13 21) 7 -46-8 64 8686 -25-7 8 -57-(2 342) 7 8 -35-8
Numbers within: — = Means gliding (or almost playing them at the same time)
() = Means switching to an higher octave

Would it be possible to make the musical harp sound as beautiful as a real one? ^^
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TO4s_7qVvZY
I tried my best. But it’s practically impossible to make it sound exactly like it does on a real harp.

Thank you very much for the work and it sound very charmingly ^^

I didn’t actually write that. But i know what it means. The annotations kinda confused me at first too, because it’s different than what most people write in tabs. That’s actually because no one has yet to write tabs where you use this harp-like technique of playing songs. The problem is that numbers in brackets () usually means higher octave. But it actually doesn’t in that tab.
-snip-
I’ve rewritten it to make more sense to me in the following example. Note that it’s the same tab, just written differently:
5 -13-5 (13 21) 7 -46-8 64 8686 -45-7 54 8 -4-6 7 -35-8 (2 3 1 2) -13-5
5 -13-5 (13 21) 7 -46-8 64 8686 -25-7 8 -57-(2 342) 7 8 -35-8Numbers within: — = Means gliding (or almost playing them at the same time)
() = Means switching to an higher octave
You are right, the notation I used there is more than confusing, especially after we’ve all agreed on () being high octave on the flute. The thought behind using brackets in the notation was that you can leave out the notes in brackets for some kind of “Easy Mode” where you still have the main melody. Wasn’t the best idea I had by now
I thought about rewriting my tabs to use () as high and [] as low octave and to write chords/gliding like 1/3/5. At least these are notations I see commonly used in different tabs by different people. Maybe we should agree on some kind of notation for the tabs we share to prevent further confusion… I think I’ve caused enough
EDIT:
It took me a while, but here are the updated tabs:
5 1/3/5 (13 21) 7 4/6/8 64 8686 4/5/7 54 8 4/6 7 3/5/8 (23 12)
1/3/5 5 1/3/5 (13 21) 7 4/6/8 64 8686 2/5/7 8 5/7/(2 342) 78 3/5/8
Key:
(123) = notes to be played in high octave
123 = notes to be played in mid octave
[ 123 ] = notes to be played in low octave
1/2/3 = chord (can also be played over more than one octave – indicated by brackets as mentioned above)
I also updated all harp and horn tabs in my youtube channel to follow the same notation and will keep that up for all future videos.

I’ve made some edits to a few of Rayti’s songs above that make them sound a little more accurate to me. Big thanks to Rayti for putting them out there! Used her tabs for several of my starter songs.
Pretty close to Rayti’s version but the ending sequence has a couple more notes and scales slightly quicker.

Overall tune has similarities, but changed the line endings since they originally felt slightly off. Also added a few chords in the middle to get a little closer to the original. Ending sequence was changed a good bit too.

I wrote a harp version of “The Hero of Canton” from Firefly recently!

{} = low octave
/ / = chord (let it roll, don’t do the notes perfectly simultaneously. Go from low to high in a swift motion)

First full version of Fear not this night – acc. to THIS
The octaves are very deep with harp at some points but thats very originally.
If somebody wish to improve this, go ahead.
