Some Warrior thoughts from a warrior.
1 Losing all adrenaline if the attack does not connect? With all the blinds/blocks/aegis/stealth/evades going around? It is already hard to land half your burst attacks against a half decent player, this will completely destroy warriors.
Welcome to the life of the other 7 classes…Wouldn’t mesmer’s just love if their shatters didn’t go on CD if they didn’t connect.
2 The trait already works that way… Only Longbow functions differently, as it should, because it is AoE.
And it makes long-bow even more OP, for an already strong weapon, that it has GUARANTEED condi-clear, no counter-play.
3 I don’t understand the reason for this suggestion, but it is indeed a significant nerf. So you want to deplete adrenaline even is the warrior does not land the attack, and remove the adrenaline regenerating function of Cleansing Ire all in one? This is not a nerfbat, this is a nerfchainsaw.
Would you still take this trait even without the extra adrenaline? I think you and 90% of other warriors would. Currently you get EVERYTHING from one trait. You get more cleansing than an elementalist (most susceptible to condis) gets from a GRANDMASTER trait, when taken with other traits to make it effective.
4 Dogged March is in the defense traitline, regen makes a lot more sense. The unfairness in all of this is that everybody is promoting conditions should be the warriors weakness again… Like that ever stopped being the case. Note I am not talking about damaging conditions, but soft CC. A class with a bit of condition duration and a plethora of blinds, cripples and chills will /laugh at you. So, if anything, swiftness would make more sense then might. But actually, I’d make a case for vigor. This increases skillful play more then passive regen, or might for that matter.
I’d be fine with giving swiftness, or something along those lines, although the -33% at adept is already REALLY strong (eles and engies have it at master, with no additional regen included). Currently, the ONLY hope you have against warriors is trying to kite them, but doing so gives them so much extra sustain that you can’t overcome the regen + healing sig. Vigor is stronger than even regen, but swiftness would be o.k. Also, warriors have a lot of other ways to lock down and stick to their target, as well as MASSIVE sustain even without the regen to keep pursuit up.
Warrior is viable in wvw, pvp, pve and i think its good. I want to see every other proffs to be good in every aspect of the game
Just the WvW

This is very true, and a good aspiration. The reason why it is at the top of viability in all modes, however, is because its relative power (compared to other classes) far exceeds other classses. You could buff everyone else and get into a power-creep issue, or you could intelligently nerf (more like fix b/c they are broken) warriors so that the relative balance of power is more….balanced.

Not quite. As it stands, Warriors have the most viable builds for just about every mode, and if you want to make the game more dynamic and balanced, you should not have a single profession stand out among the rest. Bring other professions up. Not a single one down.
It is a harder process than just nerfing warriors, but it is a needed process if you want to balance the game right. If there are more viable builds across other professions than the one in question, the relative power level of said ‘strong’ profession drops.
With A-Net looking at Rangers with more intent in the next CDI, we might see Ranger power across all modes rise drastically provided we give them a direction. There are a few solid Ranger builds in PvE, but they can definitely use some help in either SPvP or WvW.
Edit: Power-creep won’t happen if the balancing is not major. Things like adding Evade to Ele Burning Speed are the kind of changes needed.

“Seriously, just dodge.”
You mean like..the 20 pnt ability cleaning wave for elementalists, which is 1 condition removed every 10 seconds…
And that trait was nerfed into the ground.
