Thief does. Followed closely by Warrior.

i love when warriors run. kind of the opposite of what the class implies.

I’m sorry I didn’t realize “warrior” meant suicidal. My apologies.

The first thing you’ll want to learn about combat in general is that you never want to fight if the odds aren’t stacked in your favor.

Every book on military doctrine ever written basically teaches you that in one form or another. Stack the odds in your favor or go home and fight another day unless you absolutely have to.

If you can disengage from a fight you’re losing, by all means it is the correct thing to do.

Heh, you’ve highlighted the crux. Mobility/Landspeed are the definitive factor in all fights. So on top of everything else, Warriors have amazing access to it. Definitively OP.

You do realize warriors have poor in-combat mobility yes?
And I wouldn’t call mobility the defining factor in the outcome of a fight but it does play a huge part.

You’ve read what I wrote and I feel you’ve either ignored the point or just chosen to understand what you wanted to understand.

Warriors have good landspeed – this means they get from point A to point B fast. This doesn’t really help you in any way in combat.
There are classes with very good in combat mobility : thief, ranger, mesmer. These classes can jump and dance around in combat avoiding being hit and confusing their opponent left and right. It is this kind of in combat mobility that gives a good advantage in a fight.

Warrior has average mobility in combat.

Please know the difference between mobility and landspeed. Landspeed might get you out a fight you’re losing but it will not win a fight for you.

But a lot of forum people seem to consider running from a fight OP now.

If here they fall they shall live on when ever you cry “For Ascalon!”

Thief vs Warrior race

/thread

and the thief wasnt even using signet of shadows, even though they both didn’t dodge, the thief has endurance refill when dodge, swiftness, vigor on heal, etc. (if traited purely for racing)

The warrior could have used a few banners and charged with them. They have like 4 of them.

I started the thread on Warrior Landspeed.

Warriors may not have teleports but I wouldn’t downplay their in combat mobility like you do. All those gap openers being used for Landspeed are there as gap closers for mobility, and a solid warrior can stick to his target like glue, dishing out damage as he goes. It’s why ranged combat is such a joke in GW2. Warriors fly around like arrows.
