umm, no, not really. civility has many rules, but commenting on general playstyle or spells in a video game (as opposed to personal comments) is not one of them, not one that i am aware of anyway. i am no fun of dull care-bear conversation, but i try to be careful never to cross the line of offensive and rude language. while sometimes i fail, i don’t think it has happened in this thread (an please point to me if otherwise). and by the way, when i fail, i try to muster decency to apologize.

thread has digressed quite a bit from necro skills into ethics. frankly, i’d rather end it. i hope we’ll have a better communication next time around.

Take a breath people, give this guy a break, he knows not the depth of the can of worms he has opened.

Just take a step back and re evaluate your situation man. Going head first into something is admirable but after a while you wont recognize yourself.

I’m actually glad that there are people left using the DS mechanism for the real attack purpose, and not just when they are running low on health.

gesho why aren’t you creating a necro yourself and try to kill people with DS #1 only? Then you will see how OP it really is. The cool thing in GW2 is that you don’t need to level him for PvP.

I think it’s rather telling that you still believe you’re right in your assessment of what happened, when you’ve managed the nigh-impossible feat of obtaining 100% consensus in the forums….that you’re wrong.

He will not accept anything else but confirmation. Setting the bar, that he is not supposed to lose no matter how bad he playes, made the whole thread already meaningless.

I still have no idea how he managed to lose. I wish i had that much CC and heal on a necro.

i will, in fact i plan to, over couple of days. i can even tell i dont have any miraculous op expectations.

C’mon gesho, there are many things that are situationally overpowered in this game.

But of all things I could think of right now, life blast is not one of them.

It is highly telegraphed, visually distictable, requires DS to be charged, is bloody slow and does mediocre damage per second.

If you die from six life blasts in a row, you are doing it wrong. You deserved to die actually. You didn’t heal, you didn’t interrupt, you didn’t dodge, you didn’t try to evade or get away. You played sitting duck for at least 9 sec.

If you play PvP, you have to be active. And flexible. And you need to know your opponent, their skills and their possible playstyles.

You failed in doing so and so you deserved to lose. It is as simple as that.

may be. or not. for instance 3k dps = mediocre is definitely “not”.

i already said in the very first posts that my play was inexperienced, to say the least.

It is not 3k dps, get this in your head. It is not one life blast per second. It takes about 1.5 sec per life blast. So it is more like 2k dps, which is mediocre at best.
