Yes, because I like gambling and getting all the colors eventually (buying them would feel like some kind of self cheating). Its always nice to get a dye you don’t have yet- even if its just a 20c dye.

I identify them all since i consider buying dyes just wrong. It takes the fun out of finding a dye i need.

I used to buy them occasionally when I was feeling flush.

My excess coin goes to other, longer term projects now, but they are great for a little ‘retail therapy’.

How much are unidentified dyes being sold for at the moment? And could someone give me a rough price for Abyss? Thanx

I’ve been hooked by receiving Abyss twice and another worth >4 gold… I identify every dye. Probably set up for eternal failure, now… :-)

This is hilarious, and almost describes me perfectly. I have many… many alts and have never sold a single un-id dye. In fact, I even bought around 50 dyes when they were 13 silver, hoping to keep them and sell later (like now at 18-19s). A day later I ended up just opening all of them and losing a lot of money. Oh well, just a game.

Myself, I’ve tried several times, and out of 20G spent on dyes, the most valuable was 7s… 99% were less than a silver, and most repeated (bought in batches of 20, and had one time where I only got 3 different colors out of 20 unids).

This is exactly why I quit identifying dyes.

I identify mine, simply because I want to complete the set. However! Before I set about this I actually wanted a select few dyes and I’ve found a few of them by identifying dyes I’ve found. Abyss and White It’s really biased to be honest because personally I don’t think I would spend 20g+ on a dye. Just my take :P
