I bought several thousand, which are sitting in my bank. I’m thinking they’ll be worth a bit more than the 1s2c copper I bought them for after the event ends and they stop dropping.

If the Jade Weapon ticket were a guaranteed drop, I’d say you’d make your money for sure, but since it’s only buying someone a small chance … well, like I said before, the moment a new skin is available to gamble on, I think people will move on pretty quickly.

I say the exact opposite.
Its because there is a small chance to get them that the demand will be high. Been that with every RNG box so far in game. Why would that change now with an even better RNG box?

Well, put it this way, if you were one of the only people selling a guaranteed chance to get a Jade ticket, then you could ask for pretty much any price (this obviously relies on the market being at that stage where there are few sellers left). If you ask me for a lot of money but I know I have very little chance of getting a ticket, but hey, there are new skins out in RNG boxes that have little chance of turning up but the boxes are really cheap … well, I know where I’d spend my money. But I haven’t made a lot of money on the TP so, well, I’m not speaking from experience, just from how I would spend my money.

If every box ever always gave everyone a ticket of course everyone would have one by now so they’d be worth little. But I was talking about your specific case.

I am talking about specific experience available to all on various sites tracking price movement of previous RNG boxes in the game.

When there is only a small chance to get a specific item in the box people like to gamble and buy a few once in awhile. And thats what drive the continued demand.

I’m getting rly tired of repeating myself , but one last time:
If you doubt my view, go and have a look at wintersday/haloween RNG boxes. They dropped alot like dragon coffers but did not even contain wep skins. They only contained a ultra low chance for a “bell” But the price still increased from 5x all the way up to 16x the price during the event.

Now… My view is based on previous trends for VERY similar items. What you guys speculate on is up to you. I’m making my bets and happy about a little gambling

Text dont say much, but I think everyone would see the same as me.

I will gladly comment on negative sentiment on the coffers. I take any advice I can get. But right now youre jumping arround and not being clear.

Sorry for being confusing. I simply don’t know the answer. They will either get stuck at 59 copper, or at 3 silver. This item, due to the massive amount that is available, is superhard to predict. It may take a year for the price to rise, or it spikes before the end of the event. I don’t know, but to be fair, I’m not going to worry too much about it either.

The wintersday and halloween boxes was also in massive supply. Not as much as the dragon coffers. But the Dragon coffers also contain better items

I’ll try to explain. Warren buffet says he can “guarantee” 50% annual investment return if he “only” have 1 million dollar. But the reality is he only have 20% yearly return for his company.

It is easy to get 15-25% return if you only have small capital. But if you meant to tell me you still get 15-25% return with 10,000+ capital, it is highly unlikely.

Finding 20-30 items with 15% return is possible. But finding like 1000 item with that kind of return isn’t easy. There isn’t even that many items.

That is why Small Cap funds get capped eventually. Get too big, you become the market and you cannot profit from the mispricing. I work in an investment firm.

Well they are spiking atm. Up more than 100%

Its doing the same thing as previous RNG boxes as said before.
They spike now the event is almost done. After that they will drop some (but who knows what price they will be at first)
Then they will rise again higher and higher over the longer term.

I invested pretty heavily in these even before this thread came around. Assuming ANet doesn’t do anything crazy like remove the skin vendor or remove the tickets, these will continue to make you money in the long term. It won’t be a lot, mind, but if you have free inventory spaces, they are a great filler that’s going to at least make you money with zero effort.

It’s a much better investment than thick leather sections, anyway.
