Is the flamekissed light armor permanently removed or are they still trying to develop a new look for it?

It’s been like 1-2 months since it was last released and I still have 800 gems saved…but I guess I’ll use em up for gold conversion :/

Its only been 1 month, you have to understand there is a bit of delay between when they develop content and when it comes out, this includes armors. It takes time to make armors, even reskins (I’m sure it will just be another reskin). Armor pieces also have to be developed for different races.

Plus its the holidays, things will take even longer to come out.

And you just know they’re wanting the new version to be awesome enough that there are minimal complaints from the people who lose the old version. I bet that part is what is taking extra time.

Alrighty, doesn’t hurt to wait just for pixels anyways :P

The next patch is scheduled for late January, so it won’t be until then at the earliest. I wouldn’t expect it until the March features-only patch however.

They might also go the silent approach and never update the skin if people stop complaining and forget about it. The complaints were from a minority after all. It doesn’t matter what the new skin looks like, people will complain. There’s no winning for ArenaNet here.

I wouldn’t say the complaints were from a minority. Plus ArenaNet has said themselves that cultural armor will stay cultural. I doubt they’d leave it and not bring in a new set as promised — it’d be pretty bad PR otherwise.

I doubt it, a lot of people who protested originally about the armor seemed to be happy for the armor to be removed from sale and for people who bought the armor in good faith to keep it as it is.

Yea I would like to keep the flaming human t3 cultural armor on my asura. It is one of the best looking light armor sets. It is a one of the few glowing armors that look good on a asura.

i wanted to buy it but since they removed it…..their loss i suppose….

I wonder if it’ll be a totally new skin, or just a flamekissed version of something we already have.
