There’s a difference between an issue for you and and an issue, you not liking the current system isn’t a real issue.

Actually yes it is.

The system works you dont like it tough, forgets which side the power is in the customer equation.

Its like making 3inch bright pink TV set and saying they work you dont like them thats your problem, well actually seeing you have a product your trying to sell that the customer doesnt like…

Its your problem

Its that kind of view that loses customers.

That assumes a majority, do we have the opinion of the 2mil players available anywhere? No. Given that not even an eighth of players post in the forum you can’t rationally make a conclusion. The only thing that can be deduced is that like in everything else the most vocal voice is going to be an unhappy one (because human nature is to only act when displeased) this doesn’t indicate a majority, just means some people are vocal. If people were leaving in droves and no one was buying the game anymore you might be on to something but that isn’t the case. Anet clearly aren’t being hurt up by lack of sales or cash flow due to the low number of precursors so either the issue isn’t that big or the majority don’t care despite what the vocal opinion is.

This is an attitude i am seeing in the Anet forums that i dont remember from previous games or from Beta.

Complaint on the forum, result: Your just a vocal minority every one else is happy go away.

Unless you have inside information no one else has how do you know people arent leaving in droves, i would say 80% of my guild are no longer playing regularly of the firends that were all so excited about the game during Beta only one now plays and that time is shared with other games. Yes this is a sample of one which is to say no sample at all but the only figures i have acsess to.

Of the 3 mil boxes sold how many still play on a regular basis?

That said i really dont give a kitten even if i am the one sole demented voice i am a customer with a complaint, go away boy your bother me is not a response.

You say you don’t care if you’re ‘one sole demented voice" and then expect a multi million dollar company to make decisions based on that….that’s terrible business advice. Adding to that, the complaint really boils down to “I can’t get a COSMETIC item”, not having the item RIGHT NOW isn’t hindering players in any shape or form it’s just entitled whining.

A: you quoted half my coment and ignored the rest
B: Ah the old fall back its not a customer complaint now its just

entitled whining

oh good phrase im unhappy its not the companies fault its my fault for being a spoiled brat.
Bad business well Forbes have been around a while I think they know what they’re saying

“The Upside of Answering Complaints
The RightNow study shows that answering complaints can change attitudes. 21% of the complaints DID get a response, and more than half the customers had positive reactions to the same company or brand they had been blasting not long before. When customers received a response to their complaint, 46% were pleased. And, even more surprising, 22% actually posted a positive comment about the company or brand.

Apology Psychology
Companies can be their own worst enemies: an earlier RightNow study found that of those surveyed, 82% had stopped doing business with a company because of poor customer experience. Nearly three out of four of those cited “rude staff” as an issue, and more than half blamed failure to resolve problems in a timely manner. "

You are making several logical mistakes here:
1/ Impossible to know whether or not people are “leaving in droves”. Your guild is not a good sample.

2/ You don’t know whether those people are leaving or taking a break. This game is made in a way that makes taking a break easy without being penalized for it. Many of the offline people can and will come online again some time. No monthly fee holding them back to check new content every month or so.

3/ It’s exam period at school and the fiscal year is closing for the working folk. A lot of people can not come online at all in this time. See 2/ these people take a break. I know I’m currently playing far less than a month ago, with good reason.

4/ So people aren’t playing regularly. Guess what, it’s a game. Most people don’t play checkers every evening for 3 hours straight. Most people just play a single game once a week. I consider people who sporadically the healthy crowd.

5/ All this considered, of all those 3 million boxes sold, if 1 million logs in at least once a week, that’s a pretty good achievement. You shouldn’t compare to WoW since it’s an outlier, but rather compare to other successful MMOs like LotRo, DDO, …

An MMO game is healthy when at least half a million people play once a week. I have no reasons to doubt this game is in a very, very healthy state.

If I can’t play Guild Wars 2 at work, I won’t work in Guild Wars 2 either.

Now, for the reality, WHAT are you unhappy about? a cosmetic item that was intended to be rare from the get go actually being rare. Can you not see how that is irrational from the outside?
