I know arena net is trying to stop gold transferring and in the process keep scruing with everyone on anything that can be related to the thing, but will I get banned if I have my friends send me some items from the tp?

Common sense should be enough to answer this question.

The Mail was designed to let friends send items directly to each other. Using a feature the way it was intended won’t get you banned.

Now if your “friends” happen to be goldsellers, then it will be different.

As Vlejundo indicates, there is nothing banable in the fact of receiving things from your friends. Of course we do not recommend that those items arrive in huge quantities in a very short period of time as the system could consider this an example of gold-selling and your account could be compromised.
