Which legion did you pick for your main ?
I chose the Blood Legion. Picked an Engineer, but didn’t want to be in the typical warband for a technological Charr.
Ash, ranger. Bit cats sneaking around. And Blood (which I’ve played also and is fun) just seemed too stereotpyical.
But I have to say the end of the Blood Legion line, the assault, is really really fun.
I’m a Warrior, a Tiger Charr, and the biggest possible Charr I could make.
Totally made him Ash legion. I like to think that he kicks butt both physically AND mentally.
Goal: To have one character of every race, gender, and armor class combination at level 80.
Current progress: Human 4/6 | Charr 1/6 | Norn 1/6 | Sylvari 1/6 | Asura 1/6 | Total: 8/30
Mine is a Mesmer. I picked Blood but I suppose Ash would make sense considering how tricky and stealthy I am. But I wanted to focus on outright ferocity and militancy rather than trickery.
Vaahlenaz Ashkarkas, a necromancer of the Ash Legion~
since necromancer don’t go well as their frontlines or those iron inventors.
I picked Ash Legion because I’m more of a stealthy assassin Charr. I’m also a Ranger too.
I’m an engineer and the Ghostbore weaponry is my creation. Iron legion is my home.
lol i was typical warior char went strait for the blood legion :P
Blood Legion. It’s a shame that the Iron Legion is so engineer-centric, you can’t be a grunt, you are forced to be a silly inventor.
Blood legion. Pretty cool story too.
Iron Legion Elementalist. Back story is that she use to be a engineer who got involved with magic while trying to develop the Ghostbore musket.
If I was allowed, Flame Legion. Unfortunately I can’t, so Blood Legion will have to do.
Garn the Rageblade, Charr Warrior;
Crystal Desert; Member of Crack Clan
I went Blood Legion as a warrior, just suited my toon to much to be in the others
Arkktos – 80 Thief, DU
Down Under Guild – Stormbluff Isle
Ash Legion thief
Go Iron or go home.
What is steampunk without a lot of steam, and a little punk?
I am thinking of either a Charr Guardian or a ranger. which legion/class combo would fit the Priory best?
Konus, I am very happy with my Priory member, who’s a Guardian and Iron Legion. The Legions matched up pretty well with our three choices of Order – sort of alarmingly so.
Stereotypical: Blood Legion Warrior.
However, her massive physical bulk and the stereotypes about Blood Legion warriors being stupid/brutish actually benefit her. She is highly observant—enough to put an Ash spy to shame, and extremely intellegent to boot. The fact that people don’t expect these traits from a front-line Bloody tends to give her the upper hand.
my Thief is of course Ash Legion, my Engineer is proud inventor of Ghostbore musket made by Iron Legion and my warrior did not look right or left and joined the Blood legion without hesitation.
(I know…kind of traditional :-) )

Somewhat embarrassingly I also have a max-size, tiger charr warrior in the Ash Legion. He’s a bleed-spec double-sword build which, I felt, fitted in better with Ash than with Blood.
I do also have an Iron Legion Engineer, which is a bit of a cliché but was fantastic in the ghostbore part of the personal story … especially the montage, whoever came up with that idea needs a raise.
Piken Square
Iron Legion Engineer. Easy choice for me
Straut Livetongue, mesmer of the Ash Legion.
I went with a Blood Legion Guardian, since my class can definitely take a beating
I have two charr, and neither are my main, however the legions I picked are.
My second character, a warrior has gone with the Blood Legion. He is a brute who swings metal to kill stuff, and the Blood Legion fit that perfectly.
A new character I recently made, who is a Mesmer has gone with the Ash Legion. They seemed more deceptive which I feel fits the Mesmer style.
If I make a engi, ill probably go for the Iron Legion.
The Forgotten Vanguard [TFV], a 18+ great guild. On the Gandara server.

ash legion and my charr’s name is Lord of ash legion . lol
Blood Legion! and my Warband is the best.
Shazyx Shadowdawn, Ash thief. Kinda typical, but when there is a whole legion devoted to my favorite class type, well I’m just gonna pick it.
Had a warrior in Ash Legion before delete. Named him Rhipclaw Nightkill. Now my Charr main is Grindahl. An engineer in Iron Legion.
Ash Legion. Engineer. If it can be seen from space, it might have been me. You just can’t prove it.

Lol, nice.
What’s a ‘main’?
I did blood first, though I think I liked ash better. Iron was so-so.
A main is the character you play/like the most. It’s the one you would pick as your favorite character every time.
First of my charr isn’t really my main, she is primary alt though :P
Still she is as small as a charr can get, she has a dark gray pelt with some black markings. Amber eyes, very sleek and feline. She is a thief of the Ash legion and she recently joined the Order of Whispers.
Suppose she is very sterotypical in many ways xD following a straight pattern.
Iron Legion as a necromancer
Blood Legion,im a grunt,i love to be in the trenches ^^

I was implying I don’t have such a thing.
Konus,
lol my GF and I have a cat named that. ^^

Ash Legion.
The style of Mesmer fits with Ash well. I also prefer smaller engagements behind enemy lines in WvW. I also greatly enjoy political intrigue, mind games and secrecy. Ash legion seemed like the perfect fit for my main. I'm also a bit of a Flame Legion sympathizer, and in that case, the deeper my sources of knowledge, the more subtlety and secrets known, the better.
Iron Legion for my Charr Engineer – it just seemed like the natural choice.
The Guardian I intend to start shortly will be Blood legion, because I want to see how the story differs. (And I can’t picture her being popular on Ash legion operations while clanking around in heavy armor.)
Lamefox well good for you. But you’ll find that most people do have mains. And not everybody knows what a main is either. And next time you imply something like that, say it so everyone knows that that is what you’re implying. Not all of us are ultra-smart people who can read minds and know what everyone means immediately.
