I play a lot of WvW and run a tanky Charr mesmer. But until recently, my fearsome Charr almost looked like a soft, weak human. This was unacceptable. After much searching around, I located a relatively unknown set that actually looked like light armor (and not a combat tuxedo). Finished the set a few days ago and several fellow Charr have been asking me where I found it. So I thought I’d share.
Anyhow check out the pictures below. I can take some more screenshots in other lighting conditions if you guys want (didn’t spend much time taking these pictures). The metal scaling on the front looks really good, and the back looks rather quite solid as well. The tail clipping isn’t bad for this set and you don’t notice it much.

WvW Invader’s pauldrons (aren’t essential, but give sort of an “officer” look)
boots don’t really matter (you can barely see them and all light Charr boots look the same)
Dyes: Charcoal, Matte, Clay (clay can be swapped for other colors pretty easily, especially if you want to match your WvW server color)
Paths 1/3 of SE are pretty easy to farm (15-30min per run). You have to find groups on gw2lfg.com though, ‘cause not many people run it. You can also preview the armor super easily at the SE reward vendor in Lion’s Arch.
