I purchased the Bloodstone Shard on an alternate character that I later deleted, and it has been sitting in my bank ever since. It was just recently I decided to start crafting my legendary and I realized the bloodstone shard is soul bound. Does Anet ever intend on switching the item to be account bound like The Gifts of Exploration? I don’t see any good reason for it to be soul bound.

Perhaps, but in the long run it isn’t a big deal as the other 3 portions of Gift of Mastery are account bound and the gift itself is account bound. Just craft it on the alt and transfer it over to use.

I -do- agree though, no reason why it should be soulbound, but it’s workable.

He deleted his character though ;o, you got 200 skill pts with a char and deleted him? that’s cruel.

Try recreating it with the same name. It may work then, just maybe!

yeah you got to get the shard on another toon, unless they remove the soulbound at some point, which they might do to be honest as more items are becoming account bound instead.

zileve, as its souldbound no other toon can remove it from storage/equip it etc.

I say its your fault and that there is no need for changes. It clearly says soulbound, which I guess you didnt read. Or possibly read but forgot about when you deleted teh character.

@Shawn, I think other characters can take them out of storage, but can not use the items.

All that stuff for mystic forge should be account bound to be honest… come on ANET make a simple thing happen!

no black wolf, if you try to move/pick up the item that is souldbound to another toon is says exactly that and you cant move it. you may be able to move it around your bank but you cant take it out.
