Hrm.. I wonder if someone here can clarify this. On the Wiki (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mystic_Forge_Stone) it says you can get any kind of item back when you use mystic forge stones. In other words if you throw 3 daggers and a stone you can get an accessory or armor piece back. Is this true?

Decided to continue to try to end this misery , but of course i failed lol. What im noticing is , im going up and down and up and again down…should of cashed out when i got back to back precursors! …..this roller coaster ride continues

P.S Im completely done with using rares , i’ve failed all attempts with rares totalling over 6000 , and succeeded all attempts at exotics. Maybe then i can rest after a few 100 samples of exotics

one question about the stones, so it seems to be a good idea to use them with 3 random rares (not even of the same type) of lv 80 ? or its just better with 3 exo? i’m not looking for a precursor in particular but just to put those stone in use

Rumor has it 80s are best but the chances are so low that 3x 75 + exotics can also net you a precursor aswell

Yes , bankruptcy lol ….decided to spend Dawn’s money on random exotics of the cheapest range and didnt end up with no one precursor of any type. When i start back throwing crap in the forge i have a tactic now . I’m currently down to 35g though

There is no better time to forge rares and throw them in the toilet with the current state of T5 mats! dont miss out.

I pumped 30 rare hammers + Forge stones into the toilet yesterday and came out the other side with a chaos gun. Not bad turn around for about 8g worth of rare hammers.

Now whether to sell it or make Quip….

I’m seriously considering selling it and holding the gold aside for when crafting is increased to 500. I’ve got the gift of exploration and battle, 100 icy runes and 50 clovers but I’m only sitting on around 5-70 of the T6 trophies and dust required for the other gifts. If 500 crafting is due by the end of the year (idk when it is due) then I’m gonna need the gold and the trophies

But Quip is soooo awesome! I still love mine 6 months after having made it.

Funny i put in 100stones and 400 great swords and got nothing.
1000g into the mystic toilet and got nothing… PLEASE DO NOT PUT anything into the forge… its a complete and utter waste of gold!’

You have to be insanely unlucky to get not get a pre after that much toilet plundering seriously..
