Well, as someone put it before in such a practical manner, what you see is what you get on release. On release. I assume this isn’t the end of the road for legendaries, so sit tight.

It’s not like Anet is going to go ahead and say, “whoops, let’s take it out because of this or that thread had some oppinions about the skin and it’s flash”.

What I think can be done though, (there’s this practical train of thought that runs through my mind from time to time) is to submit in suggestions ideas you have for future Legendary skins. The past is the past, let it go man, not that serious. I have no doubt that Anet had a reason for having this skin whether it be some nod to some obscure book or a nod to Rainbow Brite or My Little Pony(someone said earlier about the shortbow legendary).

Edit 11days later…ha, someone enlightened me of the possible likely reference for the dreamer bow, Kermit the Frogs song “The Rainbow Connection”. Listened to it as I don’t really remember it growing up and sure enough it says “The Dreamers”, second phase of each chorus.

And nothing is stopping anyone from acquiring the legendary then swapping the skin with one you like. I swap things around a lot and even if I had a legendary I loved, I can only stand to look at it for so long.

As I have engineer as my main, I have to bring up huge problem of legendary rifle, The predator. Some of you may already know what it looks like (it’s simply a sniper rifle with scopes and all). Then lets take a look at some of the engineer rifle skills:
Hip shot
Net shot
Blunderbuss
Overcharged shot
Jump shot
Ummmm…hip shop? with sniper rifle? Where did the legendary designer get the idea, that I want to shoot from hip with sniper rifle? (it reminds me of certain game series with no-scopers) On the other hand, warrior looks probably pretty good with the predator as in their shooting animation they actually aim where they are shooting…and yes, ofc I’m envious of warriors. They simply get every legendary that actually have that “legendary” feeling…
And about these stereotypes…is it such a bad thing to want look like a necromancer, you imagine them to be? I think most people still want to look like stereotypical necromancer or thief as it usually fits their skills etc.
Imo the legendary designer has missed the point of being “legendary” on many legendary weapons. People want legendaries look cool. They want to show off their legendaries to other people in certain degree. I dont think many people want their legendary weapons, which they have worked hard to get, just to be something to laugh at in long run.

I want to eventually make a legendary weapon. Simply for something to do when bored. The Shortbow is the weapon I use most. Sure I loved unicorns and my little pony when I was 13.

But 2 decades later my tastes have changed. And I think the dreamer looks so stupid. Not worth the effort, time or gold to make. I hope they will eventually make more legendary shortbows that don’t look like something only a 13 year old would be pleased to weild.

Agree 100% with the OP. As a Necromancer Bifrost simply isn’t an option for me. I’m level 80, at the stage where I’m seriously considering committing to the time and effort it takes to get a legendary …. but Bifrost? Sorry, no. Offer an alternative skin for it, something that would actually suit a Necromancer, then sure, I’m interested.

i guess they should make legendary weapons that has 2 types, a dark side and a lighter side of things to cater to everyone’s taste
