It was my understand cooking gives a % experience gain, and after every 100 levels of craft you should get 2.5 levels. Instead, I just power leveled it to 200 with a crafting booster, and got 3 levels (checked how many trait points I got, to be sure). This is going to RUIN my plan to get 80 with 4 professions from 40….

You do realize that with higher levels of a crafting profession you receive more experience per item crafted right? Crafting a level 80 rare sword with weaponsmithing, for example, will yield significantly higher experience than crafting a rare sword of a lower level. Maxing a crafting profession will roughly net you 10 levels.

I did not. As an update, after FINISHING the profession, I did gain my 10 levels. Sorry.

Yeah, I think it’s something like 1 level for 0-100, 2 for 100-200 (putting you at 3 levels after reaching 200), 3 for 200-300, and 4 for 300-400, for 10 total.

I may have pulled those numbers out of a kitten, but it’s something like that, rather than an exact ratio like 40 crafting levels = 1 character level.
