Guild Wars 2

I am just wanting to find out if the pieces left over from crafting Mawdrey and Mawdrey II have any use. They were their in the first place, but unused, so I am sitting with a Chaos infused Clay Pot, and a Package of Oasis Soaked Plant food. The only option I have is use or destroy, and this makes me very unhappy, as they were part of the crafting stage, but seem to be left over. Both these items have cost me a lot of gold, and grind, and I need to know if anyone knows the reason they exist, or the reason they were their to craft in the first place.

Make another one?

Those leftover items were supposed to be used to make the 2nd exotic backpiece before being able to make the ascended one, but it was possible to skip that because of the bug in the patch that turned the cultivated seed (received from 1st exotic, used for 2nd) into pet seed (received from 2nd, used for ascended).

So that is the reason for their existence

You can still make the second exotic from then if you want. It has choosable stats so some alt of yours may have use for it.
