Oct 29: leather + silk changes.
t5 Leather will not rise – too much on the market (8 millions atm) and we allready have the t7 mat ingame and ppl craft it every day, so we know how much will be used and we know it do nothing and when asc armor release the need for t5 leather will still be the same
Speaking of which, Candy Corn has begun a downward march. I predicted this in another thread on the BLTC forum, but it’s happening much earlier than I anticipated.
Possibly because people have cottoned on to Trick-Or-Treat Bags…

Game update notes: 29 Oct 2013
“Items
•The crafting recipe for Bolts of Silk now requires 3 Silk Scraps.
•The crafting recipe for Cured Thick Leather Squares now requires 3 Thick Leather Sections.”Discussion start:
Unbelievable. This in just before ascended armor is scheduled. I hope everyone refined their scraps/sections before the update.
But refining gives you progress.
Not after level 325.
t5 Leather will not rise – too much on the market (8 millions atm) and we allready have the t7 mat ingame and ppl craft it every day, so we know how much will be used and we know it do nothing and when asc armor release the need for t5 leather will still be the same
I agree somewhat. It may still rise but not enough to be concerned about.
That’s only because ascended armor crafting is not in yet. When people will start raising tailor/leatherworker to 500, the prices are going to skyrocket.
Exactly like it happened with metal and wood already. There are over 8 million thick leather squares on the TP for the lowest possible price. I won’t see the price of those sky rocketing any time soon.
Many people thought the same thing about candy corn
You forget about the fact that Candy Corn had its storage space decreased significantly with the Halloween patch. Since you can trade 4 stacks of candy corn for 1 cob, you can effectively store 250k candy corn in 1 inventory slot.
The millions of candy corn that got bought out of the market in the last 2 months are still in players´ inventory, just as cobs.
I doubt that alot of candy corn actually ended up as a recipe sheet for the halloween weapons.
Bloin – Running around, tagging Keeps, getting whack on Scoobie Snacks.
but one thing we know now for sure with this change
Arenanet wanna have the price higher from silk scraps and thick leather sections. When actual Changes are not enough they will do more changes to reach the goal. So it is a safe Longterm-Investment.
It dont even need Bankspace – just buy out and put in TP again with a buyout 50-100% higher or even more – its 8 copper now so 14-20 will be safe – maby 25-30 – someday
it only can go up and arenanet work for this^^
