ok maybe not but they have added a new crop in southson that is called Blooming Passiflor. it drops a passion flower every time. i have found 2 already and have harvested them on all my alts. the price of these should drop alot.

And also the southsun boxes drop karka shells, passion flowers and passion fruits.

About time. Passion flowers were ridiculously overpriced.

You can harvest Blooming Passiflora 3 times per day per account, and there are 3 nodes in the zone.

The bpf allowance is in addition to the 15 Passiflora nodes you can harvest per day per character.

Because bpf’s are per account, you’ll likely hit this just by harvesting all the passiflora in the south-east region on 2-3 characters. If you only use 1 character and the bpf on the NW islet is annoying to get to, just guest on another server and you’ll get another 2 easier nodes to choose from (overflow works too). Don’t forget to grab the ori nodes and ancient saplings while you’re out and about as well!

Thanks to the event, I got my first Karka Shell and Passion Flower. Now I have tons of them makes me happy that I don’t have to shell out g’s to get them all.

Passion Flowers seem to be hovering around the 20s mark now. That’s on par with Ecto! You’d be silly not to hit the Blooming nodes whenever you visited Southsun.

I can’t remember, but they were much higher. It was somewhere around 50s – 70s. They were about half way in between the value of an Ecto and a Lodestone. The whole Southsun event has severely de-valued. The harvesting proc rate on those things is normally insane. Even with the Black Lion rare harvesting tools, you can easily go through 2-3 rare sickles and still not get a single Passion Flower.

They also seem to have had their drop rates from Passiflora greatly increased. I’ve gotten about 4 or 5 Passion Flowers so far just from harvesting normal Passiflora.

There’s some sort of bug related to passiflora and blooming passiflora. I was able to harvest them again last night, only two hours after first harvesting them (daily reset did not occur during that time, neither time was in an overflow). Then it got weirder. My friend, who was in my party, mapped in while I was halfway through gathering them. He ran to the nearest passiflora, and before he got to it all of the passiflora nodes on my map blinked out and I couldn’t harvest any more.

Passiflora and Blooming Passiflora are unique in that they are limited to 15 nodes for Passiflora per character, and 3 nodes for Blooming Passiflora per account. They seem to reset after 24 hours similar to node farms, and not during the Daily reset. However, I think you can bypass this limit by guesting to different servers.
