Weapons or armor first?
Personally I would say armor first, for any game mode. The base stat difference between exotic and ascended gear isn’t very large, but there are far more armor pieces than weapons used at one time. Doing armor first would give you a larger stat boost than doing weapons.
weapons. the bottom end bump of the damage rating is good to have.
armor is superfluous.
A weapon gives you +5% base damage for the weapon skills for maybe 50g
A complete set of armor gives you barely 1% better damage stats for 500-700g
Now decide
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
I agree with weapons. The damage boost is far superior to the defensive/statistiical boosts from armor. Ascended crafting is also time-gated so you will be able to enjoy slaying foes with your new weapons long before you’ll get your 6 pieces of armor finished.
I’d say weapons as well. The base weapon damage is really the most important thing.
The difference between ascended armor vs exotic armor (dps stats) is extremely low.
Zerker exotics: Power315/Prec224/Fero 224
Zerker Ascend: Power329/Prec235/Fero 235
So that’s… 14 power/9prec/9fero difference. Which adds up to almost no difference in performance. Obviously if you take infusions into account as well the armor will actually start to pull ahead a bit more(30 more points for stats), but that’s a much larger investment then the weapon.

Definitely weapon, for all the reasons above. Unless you frequent high level fractals where the infusion slots are important, but even then it’s a toss-up.
Weapon(s).

Wut you talkin’ bout, Willis! You need a full set of armor to equal the stat boost from a single weapon. Exactly why most players don’t ever consider Ascended armor….not worth the effort.

500-700g…where u get those numbers from ? I just finished a LIGHT armor(36 bolts of damask) set and cost me around 200g so far..ofc i made the bolts on my own

36 × 14g = 504g .. thats the money you could earn if you sold the damask instead.

It’s called the opportunity cost. Basically, those bolts of damask you have crafted are also worth something, so do not ignore them when counting.
And i also add to the voices of people advising going for weapons first. Stat increases on both counts (unlike with trinkets) are negligible, so the really important part is the base damage/armor rating increase. A single weapon offers 5% dps increase over exotics, while a whole ascended armor set (6 pieces), increase damage reduction by about 2-3%.
Frankly, there is no contest here – craft armor last (and only if you don’t have anything better to do – like crafting weapons for alts/alternate weapon sets).
