Q:

Evon’s content, Fall of Abbadon, sounds like it is going to be much more work from a production standpoint.

Thaumanova already has a map and the enemies can just be current GW2 enemies reused. Aaatxes, Shadowfiends… stuff just teleported from around GW2 would suffice.

For Abbadon, Anet will have to create an interpretation of the Crystal Sea. They will probably need an interpretation of the Margonite army both pre and post-transformation, since they both existed during that time. They will also need a GW2 version of the Forgotten since that race was the main force on the side of the Gods during that battle. Finally they will also need to implement GW2 versions of the God avatars, of which only Balthazaar has been made so far.

Don’t get me wrong, I want Evon to win, even though I like Kiel more as a character. And I care more about cheap WP than keys. But I can’t pass up the opportunity to see an epic an storied moment in GW lore play out.

My concern is the staggering difference in developer assets that Evon’s project would take in comparison to Kiel’s. If Kiel’s project was something equally epic, such as the Vizier’s sinking of Orr, which would need an not-destroyed Orr and not-undead Orrians, then that option would be somewhat more equal.

So my question is: Will Anet be able to pull through and include everything that should be there, or will we just see a pale imitation of what was described, should Evon win?

Fractals are short anyway. People are expecting too much.
