Reduced WP costs = more gold in the game = inflation. Reduced key costs = maybe people will buy more gems, or convert gold to gems = gem price coming down, or gem price going up, but less gold in the economy = anti-inflation. Don’t vote for inflation.

Let’s guesstimate. 2 million players, for simplicity we’ll just take that as the amount of characters (yes I dropped 1 million on purpose). My waypoints are usually in the 2 – 3.5s – let’s say 2 uses per day, 4 weeks – 28 days – let’s go with 50% reduction and make it 2s total per day …

28 × 2 × 2 x 2,000,000 … that’s a lot of silver.

So just for myself, likely around 2 gold savings which is a lot more vs keys that I am not buying

Edit: Plus the added peace of mind of not supporting chest-RNG (’cause not all RNG is “bad”) – priceless.

You are pulling too many numbers out of thin air (including the 50%, which is less likely than the Arcane Council all going and bowing to Rytlock) for this arguement to be taken seriously. Plus, as someone else has said, those 2g (which you aren’t actually gaining, you just aren’t spending) don’t really matter that much.

And your ‘not supporting RNG?’ You only say that about Evon because you delude yourself into thinking he is only the bad stuff. Are Larry and Sergei responsible for those inflammatory spam emails you got? No, they are just providing a free way of fast communication. If Evon is every case of RNG then Kiel is every case of Kormir Syndrome (which she does suffer greatly from.)

I heard that Evon Gnashblade is only running in the election so that the Black Lion Company can finally take over waypoint control and gear repair.

Once Evon gets elected, WP prices will triple. Moreover, if you want to travel using damaged gearpieces, you will have to pay a “secure travel” fee of 30% per damaged item. Is that really what you want?

Vote for justice. Vote for bikinis. Vote Kiel.

Source?

Anything over 0 is more than nothing. That’s a thick rock and not thin air. Oh well, more simplicity – take the number down to 1 million characters and make it only 1 silver a day, that’s still 28,000,000 silver. (You are right, that was easier to calculate, thank you!)

Nitpicking, but expected from someone who nitpicked about guesstimation!

Also: Oven Hangsblade is his true name that he got for eating puppies. He is hiding behind an anagram. Yeah, he used a random letter scrambler to change his name. Probably found it in a box. Well … maybe there are uses for boxes … hold on, you almost got me, I shall not be fooled.

So you make 2 extra gold(really don’t loose) assumption of 50% is really streatching it over course of month I personally make 100g a week and that makes 400g a month. If u look at updates extra gold they are adding to dugions is 2g for a month of play vers 5g for 30mins of play really that impressive. My personal opinion not really.

I didn’t say 2g was the world, I said it’s more than money “saved” on keys I’m not buying. I’m saving 100% there already

People say don’t vote for EVON cause he cares about money. But u are making a decision entirely based on it. (…)

I did’t say I don’t care for money, Evon does not care about MY money, he just wants it, whereas Ellen gives me the option to save money and utilize it to protect Tyria.

Plus you forgot the little “priceless” end.

Adding further – I don’t like eavesdropping and I caught Evon doing that.

He eats puppies btw.

But in all seriousness I only responded because of the notion that there is no gold saved, I would wager that in total there will be more gold saved than with a price reduction on keys.

I didn’t say 2g was world either. Im saying 2g for a month of playing is nothing for a level 80. And if you are considering making decision for it you must not know how to make g at all that is all I’m saying.

Now you are just resorting to using straw man arguments. You attempt to say I am wrong while not even trying to address what I said. Also corrected a bit of your quote formatting.

Source? Proof? There is none. Because it isn’t true. No wonder this is what supports Kiel.

2g of savings over a month is terrible. You’d be better off leaving the WP cost so as not to increase inflation, and running around Orr for an extra hour that month without waypointing.

Seems like the text wasn’t so hard-rock after all since it simply vanished. But to be fair I did catch a glimpse of what most likely has been the end of a tail darting around the corner here, Evon probably stole it for profit. The numbers are reasonable though it is understandable that it may be hard to see for some. Harder than keys which break after each use.

(…)There is none. Because it isn’t true. (…)

Sounds like emails I never got. Attempts of ridicule and intimidation. No wonder such supports Evon.

How about after you (maybe) answer this – so it doesn’t look like I am trying to have the last word – we go back to the topic of this thread here. To save or not to save. How does that go, penny saved is penny earned?

“Whose Kitten is this?” – “It’s a Charr baby.”
“Whose Charr is this?”- “Ted’s.”
“Who’s Ted?”- “Ted’s dead, baby. Ted’s dead.”

So, the real question is simply whether or not we’re choosing which Fractal gets made and which one does not get made… or are we simply choosing which Fractal gets made first?

Because other than that, I’d vote for Kiel simply because she fought alongside our characters to get things done.

0 savings is terribler.

Lately everyone has pretty much gotten 1G per day (achievement rewards) – I did not notice an inflation?

@ Vikenx – Pretty much, according to Anet the fractal that lost will not be made (with a hint of if we protest enough then maybe).

FotM is HIGHLY overrated ijs. Any savings is worth it. So reduced WPs > RNG factors.

Since the WP reduction won’t mean anything in reality and I won’t be buying keys unless they’re super cheap, my vote will have to go for what will make more interesting story lines. Having the Black Lion owner on the council seems like it could have cool potential compared to Kiel who feels like another Trahearne (and steals all the credit for everything we do). Plus, a fractal about the fall of a god compared to yet another Asura disaster grabs my attention. No matter what happened at the reactor, I just can’t bring myself to care about more Asura.

Will you sacrifice not facing Abaddon in an over hyped fractal no one has any idea what it’ll entail and more than likely won’t live up to personal expectations for just just to save 20 or 30 silver total? Really? You can get that in a blink.

Vote for speculation. Vote Evon Gnashblade!!

Fix’d. Same can be said for Kiel.

Let’s face it they won’t just throw a bunch of money to all in the world. So either you choose the wp reduction or the key reduction you won’t save much.

If you choose the key you must pay for it, and in very little time there will be other fish on the hook so gem pricez increase and the key price reduction melt away. By the end of the day it may be more expensive than it was before the reduction and don’t forget the fact that you buy a lottery ticket with it.

The wp reduction will be laughable too but it’s a money you get 100% guaranteed. No catch, no lottery, you get what is offered.

How much do you plan to waypoint in 4 weeks? And it’s a reduction cost (10%? maybe 20% even 50% won’t matter on the long term).

The amount of WP-ing I’d do in a month would still be higher than the amount of black lion keys I would buy (zero). Since I don’t really care for Fractal content, Kiel has my vote.

Exactly. Will be saving way more in WP. Not wasting gems on Keys to get more boosters I have no use for. And couldn’t care less about one fractal or the other.

if i realy have to vote i will vote for Evon as well since his offer fits me better. if there’s an option not to vote than ill do that. both their video’s they are crying about the other instead of promoting themself. they didnt tell me why they should be chosen.

Isn’t that how real life politics works anyway?
