Rich coffers...
So just because you didn’t get something you like you got “nothing”?
That is not really how stuff work.
You were fully aware that you had a CHANCE to get something cool from the boxes, not a guarantee, so the fault is entirely yours.

I paid for regular stuff, it is how stuff work for you?
Of course its my fault I made this game, idiot

You paid for a chance to get certain stuff, you didn’t get that stuff, but that does not mean you got nothing.
I bought quite a few of these Rich Coffers as well, I didn’t get a ticket (I got one from a Regular Coffer later on though) but you don’t see me complaining about it, simply because I was well aware what I was paying for.
Nowhere does it say that buying Rich Coffers will guarantee that you get an item you want.

lordkrall is right. You should have known that it was taking a chance and many talked about the drop rate already. It would’ve just been better to stay away from those rich coffers, since it’s been a disappointment from the beginning.
yes yes youre right I’ll stay away from this creepy store.
Got my ticket from a regular too
don’t buy rich coffers, i learned after after buying 85 of them and didn’t get a ticket. you’re better off with the regular coffers. it’s chances is lower though since you can open a ton of them you’re bound to get at least one. i got mine after opening 250+ then two more after 1k+

As everyone else said they tell you clearly what’s inside the boxes and that you only have a chance at the rare items. If you want more information you can look at the drop rate research on the wiki to get an idea of what that chance is.
I agree they’re not worth the money, which is why I wouldn’t ever buy them. But that fact was clearly advertised from the start.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
what chance? any gambling should be and probably is required to detail the odds…
either way, i hope you learned your lesson OP. don’t gamble, ever!
Rich coffers are definitely not worth the money. When Dragon Bash started I bought quite a few, probably like most people. Didn’t really get anything.
So far I’ve got two tickets, all came from normal coffers.
Rich coffers should guarantee you a ticket if you’re going to use money. Like if you buy twenty you should be guaranteed to get one ticket.
Heavens Rage
My only problem is that it’s far more efficient to trade in gems for gold, and buy regular coffers in the TP. I don’t think they increase the drop rate by enough for the Rich Coffers, and I believe it’s even under 1 percent still. But, meh, it’s not something that I’m mad about or anything. It just doesn’t make too much sense to me what the purpose of it is from a player perspective.
OK I havent bought any rich coffers but they are a disrepectful element and a lottery and as they can be bought with diamonds in turn bought by cash I would think Anet or NCSoft are sailing close to the window on real life gambling rules and restrictions.
Glychd to me they are taking adavantage of players who do not have time to play to get enough coffers I think or who may have plenty money to waste.
them due to those less than polite individuals out there and their offensive attitude.

They aren’t.
Since gems hold no monetary value.

It’s been said enough: DON’T BUY RICH COFFERS.
Yeah, if nothing else, this event should have been the turning point for people buying heaps of the event RNG items from the TP since the regular coffers drop so often from mobs. I don’t think the drop rate for tickets from the Rich Coffers is that much higher than the regular ones, so I don’t see too much point in buying the cash shop ones to be honest. Unless you just want to support ANet, which is fine
I feel like everyone missed the point that the OP was trying to make. “The gambling boxes need better consolation prizes”
I dont speak about dragon tickets but please add something into your coffers like T5-T6 or anything, there s lot of possibilities to justify that expensive price
I think he’s actually got a pretty good point here, you either get something good or you get crap. How about some mediocre “prizes” as well? Could be a step in the right direction IMO.
