Braham: "No"
Braham is a shame for all beings with a brain.
Stupid kid should have learnt to shut up when adults are around. He makes all Norns look bad. At least I cannot blame his mother, she is cool, but I would like to have a word with his father. No wonder she didn’t want to take care of him.

I’m just shocked Jory didn’t slap him

Cuz Brahams too much of a badkitten to care. Scarlet was just trying to waste time for Drill, there wasn’t enough time anyways though.

“Doesn’t matter” <— Good lord, I heard that conversation a dozen times yesterday while working on the pre-shield stomp achievement.
His leg got broken, so he got what he deserved.

Just think if she did explain everything, you’d have an even longer unskippable cutscene. xD
Cause lord knows we have enough villains explaining their every motive while the heroes drink tea until its time to fight. As much as I’m curious, I still appreciate his bluntness for not caring anymore.

She’d have used her 4 skill to get up while talking. It was for the best :p

So what, now she will just respawn at some waypoint of her choice.

Braham made the right call far as I’m concerned. If anything I would have taken it one step further and attacked Scarlet immediately without engaging her, then openly stating my next move. That’s why Braham and Marjory were sucker punched via explosion. :p
But eh, gotta have proper dramatic banter I guess.
Reminds me of bosses in River City Ransom that would gloat, threaten, or cajole before fighting, and how I would run up and punch them in the face before they were done.

Have you ever considered that his manners are BECAUSE of his upbringing (and his mother abandoning him)?
I have a complete lack of respect for Eir at this point in the story.
Honestly, the only redemption for her is to sacrifice herself and die a noble death protecting one of the Living Story characters. (All norn dream of having a heroic death that the skalds can sing stories of, so it’d be very fitting.)
My bets are on Taimi. And we’ll have a very touching moment with Braham holding his mother as she tells him “I’m sorry…”
(Taimi because of her connection to both Braham and Zojja… so maybe they’ll forgive Eir for her faults in the end.)

Yes I was trying to attack right away also, she’s just been so slippery during the whole story there’s no way you’d give her another chance to escape.

Actually considering that, with the whole wasting time for the Drill thing I mentioned it’s possible that even though there was no stopping it, if she was still alive when it stuck the leyline she may of used the whole earthquake situation to slip away somehow. :P
I’d have done the same thing than Braham.
They had two goals there, first one was to take scarlet (dead or alive), the other was to stop the drill before it reached whatever it was drilling for… letting scarlet talk monologue about her evil plans would have bought her time to let the drill finish its work, and she was blocking the way to the control room… not to mention that anytime she was faced, she was allowed to do her little monologue and ended up with her teleporting away. Plus, Marjorie did want to arrest her, but was injured by Scarlet’s attack, which sent Kasmeer into a murdering rage.
Of course, it would have made no difference, since there was no way to stop the drill anyway, Scarlet designed it that way, but the heroes didn’t know that at the time… and they still wouldn’t unless there was an engineer playing at the time.
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.
What Braham did is best in terms of how someone should realistically respond to some situation. But the thing is, this isn’t real life. I’m not actually here to stop Scarlet from destroying the city; I’m hear to be entertained by a story. And after a year of being teased with “Scarlet’s plan will be soon be revealed”, I’m kittened at being cheated out of my denouement!
If Braham had allowed Scarlet to monologue she would have been distracted enough for us to kill her too easily.
I think that Bro-ham not wanting to hear a thing and just wanting her dead and Scarlet being interrupted is a good representation of parts of the GW2 community who couldn’t accept Scarlet or the Living Story. You got what you wished for :P
Don’t forget we already knew 95% of what she could have told us. Braham going executioner on her was the most appropriate response. The 5% we don’t know is the interesting part, and will be the teaser for the continuation of the story.
And re: Marjory going to arrest Scarlet. I don’t believe for a second that was her intention. She says in response to Scarlet asking her if she was going to do so “ya, something like that,” draws her dagger, and then says “time to end it for good.” (Dialogue paraphrased.)
