So you defeat the three Assault Knights (which now give no loot, even if you’re in a power or crit build, alive for the entire fight , and do nothing but DPS), and you make your way onto the Breachmaker… and blamo. Insta-dead.

Why would you design the fight so that one of the paths the laser fires along is directly at the entrance, and you have no way of avoiding it as you’re loading in? Seems like getting the “No More Tricks, Scarlet” achievement is more about luck, and less about skill.

Oh, and don’t even think about trying to revive any downed players. There’s no way you’ll be able to break out of the rez in time if a laser aims in your direction.

And don’t mind all those people hiding in the corner. They’re just trying to leech credit for an achievement or two. I mean, this safe spot over to the side was included just this purpose, or it wouldn’t be there, right?

This LW update has included more random chance, and has done more to encourage selfish play than any other that I can recall. Wake me up when it’s over.

Well I dont instantly die, I can take like 6 hits of the laser. Maybe invest in some defense? But it is annoying for the no more tricks achievement.

I have to agree the instant dead on spawning in is a bit annoying. It would be much better if an invulnerable state was given to us, or if it spawned us in a safe spot first (that couldn’t be re-accessed).

But barring the spawn, it is moderately easy to obtain the Prime Hologram achievements. I did both legit, I just made sure to be extra careful about my auto attacks (and attunement) and position.

Damage builds are typically the way to go for these sort of events. I could run a defensive build, but I shouldn’t have to simply to survive a load-in. Also, it seems like you can take damage before you’re fully loaded in on the client side.

And as far as the achievement goes, it’s still a fail, dead or no.

Oh yes. As soon as we zoned in, BOOM HEADSHOT.
Yep. Got a laser shot in the face right after loading screen, achievment failed immediately, with no chance of getting it done.
Second time. I arrived on the scorched zone, ticking down ma health (got 1500 left when I dodged out), achievment failed, AGAIN, no chance AGAIN.
No matter, I can wait another hour … just to get shot in the face right after porting in.
What the actual, flying <you know what> ?!
Three hours wasted … for big nothing (since knights have no loot, I only got greenies, blues, and some yellows … not worth the time at all!)

You gotta be extremely lucky to avoid the first shot, and then have a chance to do the achievment. This is frustrating and very unfair. The targeting mechanism is just broken, bad, poorly designed (btw I love the patch in whole, but this thing drives me insane …)
