Hello everyone.

I’ve been working on this for 3-4 days, was going for 10000 bags, but i stopped at 8000.
In my opinion it was worth it,because i will be able to almost get 75 levels for some of my alts, and not to forget, ascended backpieces for all of them.

I tried to group up with 5 to 10 people for this, and we always did miasma events in LA,it was much easier since the mobs were not hard to kill, and it was guaranteed to tag all of them.I think i got a minimum if 180 bags per run or so.

The ultimate bags that everyone want so bag were not that good for me, i’ve opened a total of 17, 9 of them before and 8 of them during the time i worked for the bags, and no luck was with me, well not even one exotic

I tried to post down all the stuff i got, hope i didn’t miss anything of it.

I get much more blue/greens then before, and about rares/exotics, let’s say that in 4h of la events i would get around 20 rares and at least 2 exotics or something similar.

But everything is random anyway,it can be that i do WvW and in some hours i get 2-3 rares or in 30 minutes i could get 10 rares.

A bigger difference is when killing mobs that drop t5-t6 materials,i find it easy to farm t6 materials.

May want to consider saving the drawings (if you’ve not destroyed them yet) as who knows what Anet may do with excess Luck consumables in the future considering many will eventually hit 300. I’m sure Luck will be given some post-300 mf use eventually.

How do you even farm that much and not go crazy? I mean, I farm ore/events/content/AP more than the average person… and I don’t even come close to what you do. I would need an endless supply of weed to monotonously repeat content to that extreme. And keep track of it…

It wasn’t that hard at all, there’s someone on youtube who already made a very clear guide on how to get at least 200 bags per run, by only doing several events, so like 2/3 of the time being in la i afk or do something else.

No empyreal fragments? I got 2 stacks of that so far for the bags, very few of the dragonite ore.

I guess this shows that Mini Magnus has a crap drop rate.

Only have gotten a endless green tonic. Which is probably my first “rare” drop from these events since launch. :S

How did you survive? The bones in my right arm are completely shattered to pieces from opening all these event bags. So much pain and internal bleeding. I had to build a cast out of ductape.

Hey, thanks for your stats!

I too farmed LA for both weekends, but instead opened everything up straight after exiting, so can’t offer such a nice breakdown.

I got 2 characters from 0 to 80, approx. 25 levels of MF, and otherwise similar drops to yours, with the exception that I’d never seen a single exotic drop from bags or mobs, and the peculiar difference that I seemed to get a lot more minis and tonics than you and nearly twice less blueprint pieces. My MF is only 110% now though, maybe that’s the reason.

What’s really bugging me, though, is that I have an extra 21 stack of blades after getting backpieces for all the chars I wanted them on, so I wish Anet could unbind them or find another use for them in the last patch – doubt i’ll need even half of them for the colored version.

Thank you for posting your findings. If anyone is interested in contributing to drop rate research like this, the wiki will usually have research pages that you can add to if you wish. For example, there’s a page here for the bags of alliance supplies that drop during this event.

Yea I opened 2000 bags last night and the best thing I got was some mystery tonic worth 15g, I got a bunch of eol, around 10 rares, and 50-60 emp fragments, I was able to buy 33 obsidian shards with all the found belongings.
