From Savannah Cat FAQ Because they are a hybrid of the African Serval and a domestic cat ( Oriental Shorthairs, Egyptian Maus, Serengetis, Maine Coons, Bengals, Bengal Crosses,and non-pedigreed domestic cats). As the breed continues to progress, later generation Savannah females are more often taken back to the African Serval instead of the misc. other breeds, and later generation fertile Savannah males are bred to all generations of Savannah females. The first three generations resulting from the Serval x Domestic cat are considered “Foundation Savannahs”. Any animal can be dangerous, hybrid or not, just some states take it more seriously than others do.

Many states don’t allow wolf/dog hybrids for fear of how dangerous they are. Could these cats be dangerous? Any cat can be dangerous. Sarafina stands to my waist on her hind legs. I’m 5’10".. Sarafina runs to me when I walk into her room holding her fetchy ball in her mouth, hoping its time to play fetch, which we do, every single day

I’ll leave you a pic of my little F-4 Boy Sekani as a baby, and one of him all grown up.

Sekani loves playing with the dog. A German Shepherd gives him a good play time.
