Ever sinds the game came out i have been playing it on multiple characters , the strange think i notice while playing is that all the events in the area’s are the same every time?
Arenanet told us we would get more rotating events right? cause how can it be a living world if the same thing happens over and over agaiN>?
Arenanet please add more events that rotate in the area so that when you play it its not always the same
Not to mention the sheer lack of Meta DE’s instead we got a dungeon.
I thought it was both cheaper and more efficient to put out DE metas because there’s less design cost in both time and resources, at least that’s the impression I got from their pre-launch interviews.
Ya it would been nice to see animal migration, Enemies being pushed out of zones, Friendlies being pushed out of zones, towns keeps and forts being captured by enemy clans/tribes(ogres, centaurs, Hylek, Krait, Undead this does happen but not that often and not nearly on the scale you would expect the take over of a enemy controlled area to be on), Dragons landing and attacking in different ways(or maybe not landing at all), the possibility to lose or not kill the dragon, Escort missions changing due to the surrounding world changing, Dynamic Environmental effects that can change what you see and hear when traveling around a zone, Enemy Clans/Tribes Attacking new locations in they zones they are in, Enemies and Allies building up new forts when their original gets taken over or destroyed, World Bosses Rampaging when they don’t get taken care of, The Citizens of Tyria taking up weapons to fight an issue the players wont deal with, Failure actually causing a huge effect instead of a minor one as it is right now, More acknowledgement of greater deeds less acknowledgement of minor ones, the Character alignment actually mattering, Heart quests moving and changing slightly depending on what is going on around the world, Destiny’s Edge actually showing up when their race or tyria is in crisis.
I was hoping the meaning of zones was to make them more dynamic and changing than a huge open world were it would be hard to manage all the dynamic events going on at once. I guess i was wrong it still feels pretty much exactly like a regular mmo just the questing sometimes goes on without you on a never ending loop.
Arenanet has added events since the game’s launch. Granted, it does get repetitive after a while, but there are enough DEs in the world that you’ll have plenty of different ones to try for a while.
