How will you remember....
I shall rememebr it forever as the event that divided anet’s customer base into two groups;
The first group that said, “we don’t mind you having as many dungeons as you want, but please don’t put them into the vital story arcs because not everybody likes or runs dungeons”
The second group who said. “STFU and go and play a single player game if you don’t like dungeons you mob of whiny, anti-social etc etc etc.”
Very sad but that’s my strongest memory
This event was the moment for you? Laughs
That’s been going on since the Personal Story.
- The best boss battle in the game.
- The most fun dungeon in the game.
- The oddest side quests in the game that really could have been done better.
- My favorite emo Norn and Devourer Charr.
- People still whining about having to actually be social and deal with other people to do dungeons.
- People still whining about having to actually be social and deal with other people to do dungeons.
While the other half is of course never “whining” especially about the lack of so called end-content aka shinies aka “reward”.

Never said they weren’t.
Just what I remember from this event.
I got the jetpack on my first run, that’s what I’m gonna remember.
I will remember it as a fun story / dungeon, and interesting new enemies and allies.
And also that no molten weapon because RNG.
I’ll also remember that, no matter what, no matter how much stuff people get, no matter how much fun the content is, no matter how much free stuff they’re handed, they’ll still complain that they didn’t get all of the rare loot, that the world didn’t revolve around their personal schedule, that some items are in the gem store, and that the idea of stories with an actual beginning, middle, and end is an awful idea.
Lighten up. It’s extremely old news that the living story is based around temporary content, and that a large portion of the team is dedicated to delivering these temporary stories. You missed some stuff during a story arc. Do you honestly think that everyone is intended to acquire every cosmetic item in every event and story update? What would be the point of the event loot? There was common event loot and rare event loot just like there’s common and rare normal loot.

I guess what will stand out most in my mind are some of the annoying parts. I only ran the dungeon 3times but it was fun. That won’t stick with me as much as…
-sonic periscope knock downs.
-OP portal vet bosses that can one shot you. Kill my thief at level 29 for her first death.
-lost and found achievement that was based on lucky spawn.
One good thing… Depending on how you feel, but a forever reminder. The molten pick gathering tool .
What would I remember?
Positives:
+ Well paced, I could finish each part in about half an hour. I didn’t have to clear my calender like Wintersday
+ Scavenger hunt quests. I like those for some reason.
+ Neat story progression that was visible in the open world
+ Extremely good dungeon
Negatives:
- Most of it will be gone.
- SAB interfered, and while I loved SAB, it was just too much grind. Couldn’t play both SAB and regular content in my limited schedule.
- To make matters worse, SAB was removed after a month …. incomprehensible. I don’t even have a full achievement for SAB.
