Hola! :) (dev tracker in spanish?) [Merged]
..and now it’s back to English.
Content Marketing Manager
Thanks for reporting this. I happened to notice this at the same time myself. I will be notifying the appropriate staff to have a look at this odd behavior.
This keeps happening…
That is a very unusual bug. Especially when it keeps switching between English and Spanish.
Would it be possible to tell us all why it happens once you have worked it out ?
I would love to know too.
Such an interesting bug and my Sylvari mind wants to know! lol
I’m in Venezuela (which is probably why this is happening), a spanish speaking country, but I like to play games if possible in english if it’s their original language, and also like to browse the forums in the same language I play in.
Thing is, anytime I come to the forums, it defaults to the spanish version, so I just click on the “en” on the top right corner of the page, no big deal… but when I go to login, it goes back to the spanish version, same if I go to the account section and back to the forums. Anytime to make it actually stay on the language I choose at first without having to change it all the time?
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.
Sign me up for the “I hate geo-ip” club. Google does this all the time, but they do have an means available for you to turn it off.
AFAIK the only way you’re going to get it to stop doing that is to proxy to an english-speaking country.
I just had the same problem with the “Account Issues” subforum. I was reading a thread in that subforum, then used the Back button of the browser to go back to the subforum overview and all of a sudden everything was in Spanish.
It still showed “EN” highlighted at the top of the page though, not “ES”. When I reloaded the page everything was in English again. So far I haven’t been able to reproduce this bug.
I should probably mention I’m from the UK, so it’s unlikely to be an IP-tracking problem (at least in my case).
And it seems to be in English again. Or you guys are fast or it can happen sometimes.
Nope.. Spanish here..
Spanish here too, even when not logged in
Table Warfare Miniatures - Armatures, Custom Miniatures, Moulds etc.
Now the Guildwars 2 discussion link is showing in German and taking me to the German discussion board.
Edit: after a few seconds it seemed to have repaired itself again. But those links are somehow not solid.
Just logged into forums, and saw this where the dev tracker is:
Sigue al desarrollador ¿De qué habla el equipo de ArenaNet?
I suppose it is worth to mention that the rest of the forum remains in english (as denoted by the used address, forum-en.guildwars2.com)
Edit: seems to have resolved itself, but it did persist for ~3 page views.
lol ~ The technical support forum for me is in German
Get it taken down -
Do whatever it takes if you care about this game -
I’ve been seeing this sort of behavior on occasion. Today, Game Bugs is in German.
{SN} Sentimental Nightmares
Darsveth, Warrior – Dexter Oliver, Thief
The link for the Dev Tracker on the main forum page is suddenly in Spanish. Both the name and description are in Spanish, however when you click on the link it does take you to the english forum.
I’m getting this for the Game Bugs forum, only in German.
“Spielbugs – Meldet hier Bugs und Probleme mit der Guild Wars 2-Software”
Still leads to the English forum of course.
I’ve seen that a week ago as well, but it turned back to english in 5 minutes.
I’ve been reading the forums pretty much every day, so I’m positive that it didn’t used be in Spanish.
I’m browsing it in Opera, on a Danish computer with US time/date set, Danish Keyboard mode.
The option to read Dev posts is now in Spanish:
“Sigue al desarrollador
¿De qué habla el equipo de ArenaNet?"
See attached screenshot
Si es algo muy raro que me esta pasando a mi también..
momento! estoy hablando español
Mucho gusto!

But yes, i saw the same “problem”— weird…
I just had one sub-forum display in German. The rest were in English.
The Game Bugs forum link is now in French for me. I’m in Arizona.
