I had to post this….

Note the 1st screen shot A moderator on 12/23/2013 informs a poster they are closing the thread and recommends using the search function.

Note the 2nd screen shot… Search of a forum for the word “search” no results, so I guess this thread is new since no one has posted about the Search Function in the Forums and Website Bugs

Search has not worked in 6+ months, I believe it is close to a year… Yet the moderator of the forums doesn’t even know this problem exists? How is this possible?

If this cannot be fixed, please remove the “search” bar and button from the forum. Also, do not close forums instructing users to use a function that is known bad for ages… If you are unaware that a major function of the communication tool recommended both in game and on your other websites is not functioning, maybe you are in the wrong line of work.

How can they tell us to use a “tool” that hasn’t worked in ages, and has been reported at least 20 times…..

How do you get the year to show up on the dates on posts? I can’t manage that.

I can only get either: so many minutes/months ago…or…just the month/day (or today/yesterday).

JavaScript disabled.

There’s a little script running which converts all the dates from the actual date into “… ago”. You can see the real date when you hover over it.

Do what? Disable JavaScript? Oh, thats not that hard and actually useful to improve overall browsing security

For Chrome: ScriptSafe

For Firefox: NoScript

combined with an adblocker like AdBlock Plus you’re pretty safe against the most common threats from the web. (and you may discover things you’ve not seen before)

(Sorry for thread highjacking)
