After reading your post, I think you might find a good fit here within our guild. We are a very active, social guild, and we would love to teach you the ropes of GW2. We even have a special guild mentor program set up just for new players such as yourself!
We are a semi-casual PVX, EST, NA Guild of approx. 150+ players on Tarnished Coast. On a normal night during primetime, we have approx. 40+ guild members on. I’ve added you to friends, and I’ll try to contact you in game to see if we are a good fit for you. You can reach me in game as Sinner, via these forums, or feel free to apply to Cynical by clicking HERE
Best of luck in your search for a guild!
Sinner
Hi Icerina! First off, since you are newer to Guild Wars, welcome! It is an awesome game and there are many great communities out there.
I made this guide the other day: http://www.madcastgaming.com/forum/showthread.php?13932-So-You-Want-to-Play-Guild-Wars-2&p=127494 for newer players. It covers things that are not explicitly mentioned in the tutorial. You may know some of them, but if not maybe it will help you out.
My guild, MadCast Gaming, is on Sanctum of Rall, but you can feel free to guest for as long as you want. I suggest you guest until you know we are right for you so that you don’t waste money on a transfer. Some of our members never transfer, so that is ok as well. MadCast is a gaming community that is bigger than GW2, but we are working on growing our GW2 sector right now. You can check out our website at www.madcastgaming.com. I especially suggest you read through the forums some to get a feel for what we are all about! Here are some points you may find attractive about MadCast:
We have a mature community. While MadCast has no specific age requirements we do have high expectations for maturity. You will find kind, patient people and no drama. The vast majority of our members are over 18 (especially in GW2).
We are a serious community with casual gameplay. In other words, the main expectations we have for members revolves around positive contribution to the community and not on a packed GW2 schedule attendance. If you are active in the forums and show up to a few events a week, that is good enough for us. Our community is made out of all levels of players. We have many very new players, some new to gaming in general, and our environment is built on kindness and helpfulness. Everyone in there will be happy to answer you questions and guide you through things.
We have a super awesome, active TeamSpeak group. We enforce strict rules of respectfulness and tolerance among our players, making it a safe friendly place for everyone. People of all types feel comfortable joining in the conversation and making new friends.
Our community is bigger than in-game. We have a website with a lot of activity and heavy forum use. This is a huge asset because we have people who play all kinds of games over at MadCast, and the forums really serve as the uniting factor among people.
If you check out our website, you will see information about becoming a Full Member of MadCast. This is not something you need to do right away. Our guild welcomes ‘Associate’ Members, meaning we will add you to the guild, you are free to use our TeamSpeak and join our Forums, but you do not have complete access rights for inviting people to the guild yourself, or accessing certain Full Member parts of our forum. This is a good way to find out if MadCast is the right fit for you before applying. In the long run, to gain any ranking position, we require people to be an official MadCast Full Member.
If you want to, I’d love to invite you to join us and meet some of our members. I would encourage you to join us in our TeamSpeak (you can find information about that here: http://www.madcastgaming.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?2-New-to-MadCast). Alternatively, you can private message me in game, and I would be happy to add you in to one of our parties. TeamSpeak is our main form of communication, and even if you aren’t comfortable using your mic, it would be great if you installed it just to listen to the chatter. Quite a few of our members participate this way.
If you have any questions you can message me in game, post here, or join our forums and ask there. Good luck finding a place for you! <3
Community is what we do best. We’re medium-sized guild that feels like a group of friends. We have a great time together. We’re on Crystal Desert.
Good luck
Thank you to all that took the time to write a PM to me. You have restored my faith I will be looking over the guild links that were sent to me. For now, I am leaning towards just creating a new character on whichever server I choose to transfer to.
Thank you again!
Roni
Hey Ice. I see you got a few offers already and may have made a decision, so I’ll keep this brief! Our guild is Guardians of the Mists and we’re a PvE-primary guild on Jade Quarry (also have some SPvP action).
We’re really focused on recruiting members with great personalities who want to have a social experience. People who will rep the guild full time and participate in Team Speak and on the forums for guild contests are our dream addition!
We’re not as large as some of the big guilds so we don’t have all the unlocks and perks to offer, but we have a solid core of good players who are fun to chat with and play with.
Overview:
- Team Speak server
- Website with forums: http://www.guardiansjq.enjin.com
- Guild Missions: Bounties @ Saturday @ 5:00 PM Server time + Treks
- Dungeons / Fractals of the Mists regularly
- SPvP players from rank 0 – 50 if you’re interested in that!
Let me know if you have any questions, Roni, or if you’d like to party up in game and see if we mesh. Best of luck finding a home!
Hey Icerina!
Pandora’s Mighty Soldiers [PMS] is still recruiting on Yak’s Bend. We’re the GW2 division of a much larger community, the PMS|H2O Clan.
We’re a small, close-knit PvX guild dabbling in most of everything, but our focus has always been playing together. This is important to us, and if it’s important to you, then we’d be more than happy to have you join our family.
For more information about us, you can check out: http://gw2pms.tumblr.com or head to our Forums.
Feel free to send me a PM here or ingame if you have any questions! Take care and have fun in Tyria!
We recently have opened recruitment to all North American servers focusing on PvE and sPvP. You can stay on your current server to run Dungeons and sPvP with our guild!
You can also Guest to Yak’s Bend for Guild Missions/Jumping Puzzles/Leveling/etc. with us.
If you are into WvW; we also have groups running this on the regular; however that would require a transfer to our server on Yak’s Bend!
