Greetings all! New to GW2, would have got it as soon as it released but did not have the funds at the time. So now I have it and I have been rocking my Charr Warrior (Lv 26 at the time of this post) on Stormbluff Isle as well as some other toons (listed below) and I am feeling that I really need to get into a guild.

All characters:

  • Richleu, Lv 26 Charr Warrior
  • Kenalien, Lv 11 Human Elementalist
  • Raldear, Lv 7 Human Necromancer
  • Faradren, Lv 4 Human Mesmer
  • Sailawen, Lv 4 Human Engineer

What I am looking for:

Casual (a have a family so this is necessary) with focus on PvE with some lite PvP. Mature (mature does not mean physical age, you can be 16 and be mature), has fun together and has members that are more than willing to help each other out. I can’t tell you how many times I have joined a guild and I will see that there are at least 50 people on and when I ask for help, I get silence (especially when they find that I am low level) or if I am lucky one person might step up and help. VOIP server would be really nice but please note that there will be times that I won’t be able to get on as my family lives in a small space at the moment and I risk making too much noise and I might wake our baby.

A little about me:

I am a 33 year old male who has been playing MMORPG’s since Star Wars: Galaxies (pre crap NGE that is) and WoW. Other MMORPG’s I have played:

  • Champions Online (Release. No longer play.)
  • City of Heroes/Villains: (Release)
  • DC Universe (Release. Play from time to time.)
  • EVE Online (Release. No longer play.)
  • Guild Wars with all expansions (Release. No longer play)
  • Lord of the Rings Online (Beta and release. I no longer play.)
  • Planetside 2 (Beta to release. Still play)
  • RIFT (Release. No longer play)
  • Star Trek Online (Closed beta to release. I still play this)
  • Star Wars: The Old Republic (Release. Still play from time to time)
  • Tabula Rasa (Closed beta to release)

I have ran, co-ran and been an officer of a guild/clan/fleet in the past. I in no way am looking to be one of these in a guild as I really don’t have the time to invest in such positions. After putting some time into whatever guild I decide to join I might be open to being an officer, but that would be pushing it for me.

And that is about it. If you have any questions, please ask here. In fact I would be more inclined to join a guild that takes the time to ask me a few questions. So please, ask away.

Hiya, Ecuas!

The Phoenix Network [FIRE] is a casual guild with a focus on PvE (our members do a little PvP and WvW on the side, though, and a lot of dungeon runs ). We’re a pretty chatty bunch, and have a good mix of newcomers and veterans – as evidenced by the interaction between these two groups, we really like to help each other out. Many of our members are veterans of other MMOs (including a couple of 6/7-year old WoW veterans). Here are three reasons, in my opinion, why The Phoenix Network stands out from all other GW2 guilds:

Community: The Phoenix Network was actually originally conceived as a private guild between a handful of friends, but we met so many awesome players that we decided that we had to come up with a way to unite these fantastic individuals. Our members are some of the friendliest, most knowledgeable people in the game, and you’ll feel right at home, whether you’ve logged thousands of hours or only a few minutes.

Flexibility: Unlike other guilds, we don’t impose constrictive limits on your gameplay experience. Though our members organize dungeon runs, WvW/PvP events, and other fun activities, you’re by no means obligated to participate. And though many of our members do commit all five of their characters to the guild, you’re not required to do so, though you may find yourself doing so after just a few days of experiencing our community. There is no minimum level requirement, nor a minimum level of participation; any contribution level is always appreciated.

Reliability: We’re always here for you, willing to help you on the steps you are taking to become the Hero of Tyria or towards your acquisition of a legendary weapon. Our flexible, casual nature by no means suggests that we don’t take the game or your experience in a serious attitude. Anything we can do, we will do.

If you have any questions, suggestions, or comments, contact me via in-game mail or send me a PM on the forums. Thank you in advance for your support!
