If you are part of a smaller guild and interested in merging with us in order to complete Guild Missions, we are certainly open to the idea. We have had several smaller guilds join our family, and each addition went smoothly, and worked out for the best for both guilds!

WHO WE ARE:
Cynical is a [PVX](EST) semi-casual guild on Tarnished Coast server. We are currently a T2 server in Wv3 working towards T1. We are looking for players who have an interest in WvWvW specifically, or PvE. We currently have a member base of approx. 150 players, mostly from Canada and the U.S. We also have several members from EU and we have a group of players that play during EU primetime. Our Guild Events are on a EST schedule, with some additional PST events also.

Wv3 FOCUS:
Cynical runs both offensive and defensive teams in WvWvW, as well as “Strike teams” to capture supply camps and kill yaks. We also have scouts who roam the map and gather intel and call targets. All our teams have the ability to gather together to also form a small guild zerg to take larger objectives, or run independently. This allows our guild to cater to those who prefer “zergs”, and also to those who prefer the small party feeling.

*Guild Lottery, Contests and Prizes, Events, and raffles
*FULL Guild Buffs including 250 Slot Guild Bank and 24/7 MF/Gathering Buffs (on hold during guild mission build period temporarily).

WHAT WE ASK OF OUR MEMBERS:
*Members must be over the age of 18 years old, as we are an adult guild.
*Members who are absent for more then a month with no forum post are removed
*Members agree to ONLY rep CYN (personal Guild banks are allowed)
*Members MUST have a microphone and use Mumble voice chat in Guild Groups
*Members agree to log on to the guild website at least once a week. Members who do not log on after one month will be removed from Guild.
*Members must treat one another with respect and dignity, and remember that when dealing with other guild members, real life takes precedence over game time.
*Members will refrain from making racist or sexist remarks on Mumbe, or in guild chat, and keep in mind that not everyone has the same sense of humor.
*Above all else, we ask each guild member to have fun!!

*You do not like to sign up on websites for pre-scheduled, organized events
*You do not plan to log on mumble and speak with other guild members
*You do not plan to log onto our guild forums once a week
*You do not like to participate and group with others for guild events

If you prefer a dead guild chat, crickets in vent and spending your nights spamming zone chat for groups, keep on doin whats doin.

If instead, you want to log in, find 20-30 people online and active with more than half in vent, guild chat scrolling and people looking to group up and get things done from planned dungeon runs to sPvP to WvWvW to the dragons etc … look up Cynical on Crystal Desert.

If you don’t, you only have yourself to blame.

I switched servers to join the ranks of Cynical after seeing this thread and a chat with GM Chaosx. Could not have hoped to find a friendlier, more welcoming and most of all active group. Scheduled WvW / PvE / just-coz-it’ s-there guild events and a lively guild channel and vent.

Don’t delay, get Cynical today.

Not much else to say then what’s already been said! This guild is fantastic. Not only is it semi-casual with people who know that family comes before games but they know to get serious when it needs to be done which mixes both casual play with competitive play in a seamless fashion.

The people are also incredible and very fun to play with. Apply now, you won’t regret it!

How are the queue times on CD for NA prime time? Weekdays and weekends?

Very friendly and helpful guild. I looked around, went through a few guilds and still felt alone in the game. I joined Cynical and wow, there were people in guild chat! There were events! Both planned and spontanious (sp?). PVE, WvWvW, or SPvP, there are people doing it all and the attitude seems to be “the more the merrier” not clique oriented like I have run into. There are old pro MMO players and noobs.

Anyway, joining Cynical has made the GW2 experience much richer for me.

Queue times are almost non existant these days on CD except Friday when teams change.
