Guild Wars 2

I’ve played mainly MMOs for the last ten years. I just purchased GW2 after the free trial weekend that was offered a couple of weeks ago. I’m looking for a mature (older folks, like me) guild that can help me get acquainted with the game and all the little nuances that I don’t quite understand yet. I’m mainly just in to PVE, running dungeons and crafting. I might try some WvW later on. I don’t really want a large guild, for me smaller is better. Right now I’m currently on the “Sea of Sorrows” server, but was also looking at the “Gate of Madness” server. I could transfer there I guess, seems that most of the other servers I was interested in are full. I’m in the U.S. in the Pacific time zone, but I’m currently laid off so I have lots of time to play right now. I’m just looking for a guild that will help me as a noob right now and then play along side of me when I’m at top level. My only requirements are that you have either a Teamspeak or Ventrilo server for the guild, I hate typing. I don’t want to have to deal with a guild website either, I’m not into having to “apply” for a guild or “have” to use it for anything else. It’s a game for crying out loud, I’m not applying for a job. I also wouldn’t mind finding a guild that has buffs, but if not it’s no big deal. I’m a very friendly, laid back, casual gamer, I do have a sarcastic sense of humor. If anyone has a guild or knows of one that I might fit in to please let me know, I would be very grateful, thank you.

I have read your post and wanted to reply and offer you a spot in our small cozy laid back guild, if you dont mind to change servers.
We have members from Europe, the US, and other parts of the world.

We have 57 members atm, and we are steadily growing, but we
still maintain to keep the family feeling.

We have a mature member base, I would not mind taking a few
younger members, as long as it wont be the majority of our roster.

Although we are small, we have a very active group of people
now, we play every day and mostly play together in party.

We have weekly organized WvW/PvP, Dungeon runs, and even Music Night, and our members do all those activities together with other guild members every day as well.

We use RaidCall to talk, and all actives are on there on a daily basis as well.

Note: if our server looks like its full, all of our members managed to transfer within 10 minutes, hope that helps:)

Also we do want you to join our website after joining the guild, ill explain to you why, we know its a game and not a job, but…. since we have members from all over the world, its impossible to reach everyone at the same time to announce fun guild events and activities, and also we post a lot of in-game info on our website, among silly pics and stuff. We will not ask you to write anything on there though. And we do not require anyone to join guild activities/events, when you feel like it, you join, if not, its all fine too.

Everytime I mention a server it goes full. So I guess any server I can transfer to that isn’t full. Unless you have a guild on the server I’m currently on.

You could also try to transfer during downtime in the morning. That worked for a few in the past atleast. Not sure how feasible it is at the moment. Hope you find a place to call home soon.

Every “America” server is either high or full. Shouldn’t they add a couple of servers really soon?

I suggest you try early morning hours for any of the full servers. 2AM-4AM. When I have a bud incoming from another game, thats how we get them on TC. Hasn’t failed yet. (knockin on wood)
