Some update on this would be greatly appreciated, as I assume the Halloween event isn’t going to be extended in any way as per this post

We heard your questions about extending the Halloween event for those of you affected by Sandy. Unfortunately we cannot do that, but the reason why we can’t is exciting: We are preparing for our big November update, which will start on November 15, and there will be content that will be in the game prior to that, leading up to the event.

Sanctum of Rall currently has the Queensdale events blocked. Two escort events run over and over again but, the doors don’t appear.

Yak’s Bend: was able to enter through an unmarked door in kessex hills(nothing on map). Everywhere else appears bugged.

Crystal Desert — Queensdale — Event is currently at “Scholars are attempting to dampen the power surges” and the two escort events continually run, but the doors never appear. Hallllp!

Hopefully it’s fixed before the event ends

Stormbluff server is also having this issue. Knocking on the Door is looping in Queensdale from Detti to Thiago.

After reading this thread, I went searching for a haunted door and found a door bugged open between Hunted Lodge POI and Krytan WP. We tried to open it or enter through it. It would not allow entry but spawns several spiders endlessly and remains open.

Yak’s Bend, we keep getting events for Scholar Thiago and Gendi (sp), but they just keep repeating every 5 minutes, nothing more.

Last evening (from 9pm GMT+1 to midnight) no doors, and all meta events to open the doors on Gunnar’s Hold were borked….

Some of us work, so evenings are the only time we can play. Loosing an evening during a limited timed event means not being able to complete the event. Makes starting the event rather pointless …

Lesson to learn from this: avoid all future events …

All the events to open the doors are just cycling. Sometimes you get credit for completing them, sometimes you don’t, but they don’t trigger the doors.

All maps with all events blocked starting with Queensdale late Sunday and since Monday also in Kessex Hills and Gendarran Fields.

Events seem to work, but one or more of the steps will loop to a previous state, even if they were successfully completed.

Farshiverpeaks also broken. Queensdale – loop events, no doors. Gendaran – same as Queensdale. Kessex – event says that realm to Mad King is opened, but no doors.

Just to clarify on Sanctum of Rall, the dynamic event step that was bugged (last night at least) was Explorer Thiago, the charr standing in the village just west of the graveyard.

Mobs just continue to spawn and karma rewards are given at the end of the event but nothing else happens.

I love the Mad King realm. If they added a vendor inside I wouldn’t leave until the event ended. Especially because it’s so hard to get back in. I hope they extend the event a little. Cuz as much as my head hurts from that dang clocktower, I really wanna do it.

You can still get into realm through random doors. But, need to be lucky. Running like idiot 2 hours across Gendaran/Kessex/Queensdale 30 doors – 0 entrance.

Borlis Pass seems to be having the no doors issue as well!

Submitted a Bug Report, but posting here as well that the Event is looping in Queensdale on Stombluff Isle.

A pity that a Holiday event with a limited time frame is bugged for two days and ArenaNet cannot solve it. Fortunately I got into all the worlds at least once so I got the achievement. But trying (and failing) the jumping puzzle will probably be impossibe.

Not that it matters but I play on Piken Square and Scholar Anders is still doing nothing.

Confirmed broken on Ring of Fire EU.

Queensdale event is stuck just before the graveyard.

Doors still work fine however, you just have to find them.

Any chance we can expect an appropriate extension on the event to compensate for lost time?

No extension because they have another huge event planned for the 15th.

Underworldian here. Don’t know about the rest but the Gendarran Fields one is either bugged or super hard to get.

The moment we got all three power sources the “reinforcements” or “secure” metas popped up instead of.. I don’t even know what’s supposed to come after that. I was there for at least one and a half hours solely trying to open the realm.

The random doors function though, I saw one and it dispersed a millisecond before I could enter XD

I can confirm random doors still work. Just used one the other day to finish the clock tower and get my two chest rewards from the labyrinth. Seems like it works for other servers as well, since I saw quite a few players there, too.

What a complete SHAMBLES.

Any chance of another update on the status of this? Would be useful to know if this is actually going to be fixed or not.

In Desolation I haven’t seen the doors for 3 days… Should we do the events with the whole server? I don’t know what to do… Really want to do the clocktower puzzle before it will go away.

Okay… here is what I found works to get 3 out of 3 toons to MK’s Realm the last hour.

Party up with at least 1 other person and go trick or treating (door hunt) in Queensdale. I found east of Garrison worked best for me while there’s been reports of doors working in Shaemoor field as well.

FYI – I’m on Stormbluff server

Open the doors and it will spawn either ToT bags or skele/spiders and try to interact with it again. Some doors will port you to MK’s realm. The first two times doing this took the 2 doors to teleport me to the Labyrinth while the 3rd time was the 1st door. The door appeared “normal” without the pumpkin head 2 out of 3 times while only once did it appear with the pumpkin. Regardless of door appearance, the doors teleported me to the Lab.

I do not know if being in a party actually helps but when my husband was door hunting alone this morning, he went through 25+ doors and was not able to gain entry. As soon as he partied up with me, it was our 2nd door that took us in.

This work around has helped us and a few other in the game until the meta event is fixed. Have fun and good luck!

Ooops… forgot to add that biggest challenge is getting to the doors before they “poof” so I suggest narrowing your search down to a small area where doors have been known to spawn.

Reportedly 1/10 doors will teleport you but so far I’ve had:

50% chance twice
100% chance once

granted 3 times isn’t a huge sampling but I had better than reported odds.

Surely it’s time to place an npc in Lions Arch that grants entry?

Is this an approved Anet fix to the problem? Everyone who’s looking for a door, change servers

Yaks Bend is currently broken. The Meta is stuck and never goes anywhere. Not sure if this server was already reported, sorry for the repeat if so. I hope, that if you are unable to fix this quickly, you are going to extend the clock tower if nothing else :/
