When Mad King Thorn burst out into Lions Arch I thought Magister Tassi was shaking in fear, instead she blasts him back down.

Hope she comes back next year, give it up Sassy Magister Tassi.

Magister Tassi was the Ebenezer Scrooge of this event.

No candy, but you DO get to go play in some caves and a sewer. Also, nothing says Halloween like “writing a biography”.

I expect her to return at Christmas and send us off to gather rocks or shovel manure.

Tassi giving Thorn the smackdown in Lion’s Arch was hilarious the first time i saw it. That’s the type of pugnacious even Forbes would be proud of. Bring her back in November.

If Magister Tassi was real and not an Asura I would marry her.

That’s actually a pretty apt example, seeing as she had us chasing down the ghosts of the Mad King’s past. :P

I agree! Tassi’s my idol after this. I love how she so casually banished him back when he first bust out. “Oh he’s real. Okay back you go. yawn” Her repeat performances were just as amusing. I’d love Tassi to return for more holiday goodness!

Particularly if she puts the smack down on all of Tyria’s seasonal characters, who I imagine to be Sigvild The Jolly Winter Norn, an Asura-built Seasonal Mechanical Battle Rabbit, and some kind of drunken green charr with a pot full of gunpowder and Guinness.

A credit to the Priory. Seeking out and assembling ancient tomes and the like was the reason I joined. Watching a member do something wholly unrelated to “be escorted or die horribly” was refreshing.

Thanks for the good times Tassi. It would be nice if we could visit her in the priory HQ some time.

People people… you may not have noticed it yet, but the whole Priory is awesome. They’re raising their nose at the common idea of ‘knowledge seekers’. There’s no book nerds wasting away in dinky dark rooms here. It’s all tomb raiding and experiments and whacking others over the head with whatever ancient weapon they last discovered.

The actor who voiced Tassi is fantastic. Her dialogue is good, but the delivery makes the whole thing awesome and added immensely to my enjoyment of the event. (Thanks to Ace for starting the thread.)

I’m glad I’m not the only one that likes Magister Tassi. I can just imagine her being swarmed by baby Quaggans wanting candy when she is trying to complete her work.

I wish I could choose her as my mentor. Anyone know the name of the voice actor?

Every once in a while the Mad King would stick part way out of the portal and start to squeeze through, she would run up to the portal and lay a magical beatdown until he went back in, it was pretty epic. It wasn’t part of any event, just an animation that happened randomly.
