Coincidentally, another guy i ran with tonight got Arachnophobia and salvaged, I KID YOU NOT! He said he was trying to get ecto’s (it gave him none!) and I told him he just lost about 30gold. He kept telling me it was probably only worth 2 gold lol. Poor kitten.

I got merchant fodder.

Worse than anything I can get to equip, not good enough to sell, not even worth salvaging.

Got mostly junk, did get an exotic dagger but*shrug*. Feel free to email me The Crossing if you don’t need it.

Besides some greens and other crap, I got the light and heavy Mad King’s chest piece.

I did it 10 times give or take. Few dyes, one (normal) exotic, two Black Lion Salvage kit, a few harvesting tools. Nothing to write home about.

Best thing i got was some exotic gloves.
Decent item was a Dye pack that had ((White Gold dye) and (Pumpernickle dye)) or something lame)
ran it about 20 times, nothing super good.
*Edit: I also got a key, which was a nice 2nd try at getting something good like a Greatsaw, but got mystery tonics and a frowny face.

How do people get good drops outta this? 20+ runs, not a SINGLE EXOTIC. Tons of greens, some dyes. Worst chest pickup were 2 bags of whatever, a dye, and candy. Srsly. I’m gonna keep grinding til i get me some exotics!

Not saying the perm skins don’t drop but I have yet to see a single screenshot of them in the chest rewards on any forum.

Just saying..

2 runs. Got a bunch of greens and 1 recipe worth 60s.

I love how half the people in this thread are complaining that the chest drops are super OP and should be nerfed into oblivion while the other half of the people are talking about how much the chest sucks and how they won’t ever run the dungeon again because it always drops crap…

I’d say that is a pretty good indication that Anet got the drop rates just about perfect.

I stripped out a couple of sigils and sold one gold recipe on the market, otherwise it was all meh. shrug No complaints though, I don’t think there should be anything super-awesmazing in there. I did enjoy the dungeon the 6 or 7 times I ran it.

question guys, how long does it take to run the instance with 4 guys? I havent had a chance to go on, and I am flying out away tomorrow but really want to give it a go before its gone!

I’ve had 3 exotics drop on 5 runs. Nothing my first 2, then one on each of my subsequent runs. lvl 78 exo dagger, lvl 76 exo head and the mad king slippers. My friend had the mad king chest and shoulders drop in our last 2 runs.

Wow, nice luck on all the exotics! I’ve gotten nothing but junk greens and the one nice thing I received was 5 fine transmutation stones.

I’m always unlucky with drops so i’m not expecting anything, mostly i got greens and a couple of black lion kits which is nice (10+ runs).

I’ve done this 20 times on my 48 thief and I’ve only gotten 1 dye, many crafting mats for Halloween, a large amount of useless green equipment, and that’s it. That’s all actually using MF buffs.

I’ve been hearing that level 80’s were the only ones actually getting exotics. Can anyone confirm this?

Did it solo and recorded it with fraps, got a 10 slot trick-or-treat bag, 5 chattering skulls, crafting booster! and one green mace. took me over 40 minutes by my self and the reward ensures i’ll never do it again.

Done it solo aswel but should of kept it to myself as all I got was bad mouthed and called out as a liar, but meh, got a Exotic light armour piece with divinity rune from the chest and some other blues, the king dropped a 10 slot TOT bag and other rubbish. I also have no intention to do it again. Even though getting the chest was harder than the fight.

Ran it twice today. Am running +69% MF total. Got green merchant fodder from the chest both times, but I chose 10, then 6 Personalised ToT bags from the king himself, opening them gave me a pile of candy and other halloween items. Including the recipes for the Major Sigil of the Mad King and Major Sigil of the Night.

A guildie got a lvl 76 Exotic from the chest on the second run worth 40s.

I seriously think my DR switch is flipped “on” all the time. lol

Did 6 runs last night as an 80 with the same core people, only swapped out 1 slot for guildies that hadn’t run it yet.

I got whites. Yes, whites, from MK’s corpse (while running MF gear) and blues & greens from the chest each time with a spattering of ToT bags & holiday crafting mats. Got the 10 slot ToT bag first run (and merchant’d it … why isn’t it ‘account bound’ and not soulbound? ).

Others in the group got exotics, though nothing but mystic-forge randoms really, no holiday stuff.

I got the Greatsaw Greatsword skin on my first try. Sold it on the TP for 35 gold.
