I agree, they claim that this is “our story” yet there are plenty of characters coming and going with no reference to them at all later. Very poorly done I really hope they can do something to change it. Possibly in an expansion or patch.

I wrote in another thread about this very same storyline, that it seemed so weird that there was no follow-up and the whole plot thread was dropped abruptly. My human character is level 50-something so I don’t know what will happen later. Even so, it feels like you need some kind of extra quest or reference to your home choices after you’ve started following your faction storyline, and it doesn’t happen.

There actually is a follow up. She comes with you to Orr.

Nope.
She goes home. And you never hear from her again.

I was at least expecting her to be in the Home District, and with that, some housing options. Maybe we’ll see that in future patches.

I finished the story line too and she came with me on one mission. Hell she even brought a message from the friend too from your personal story.

I saved her, but I can’t remember her being in Orr.

I think the home instance is ‘meh’ overall, I can’t see much stuff there that I have done, except for some Hyleks standing on the street, that I chosed to help.

Well I would like to see her in my home district, too. Maybe some quests with her too.

On the other hand I was really confused with the whole questline, which followed after the rescue of my sister. I mean we have been looking for a traitor around the queen and somehow we didn’t find him/her.

I am kind of disappointed but maybe I will get back to this later. Right now doing the story quests for the durmand priory =)

I haven’t played yet past the early 50s so I haven’t seen any follow-up. It sounds like there’s some disagreement with whether she turns up later or not – maybe it depends on other options? I still think there should have been some kind of integration of her into the story while you’re on your order storyline, though. Even a mail would have felt slightly more satisfying than it just being dropped for ages. It’s just a detail, but then this game in general is quite rich in detail in many other areas. It seems odd that they dropped the ball more on the personal stories.

She shows up in if you pick the Army step near the end of Orr Story line.

One thing it seemed to me in talking to a couple others that did this storyline was the racial background you chose influences what she looks like. I thought that was a great touch, how saying I’m Canthan actually made her look like she was from Cantha too.

I too was disappointed by this storyline. Also, upon discovering Lion’s Arch, I’ve very, very rarely been back to Divinity’s Reach, and have had no reason whatsoever to explore my “Home” district.
They really should have added an option to move home district to LA. It’s the hub of the entire world and makes most of the other cities redundant.
Either that or they should have included more sections in the personal story that take place in your home town and surrounding environs, particularly later on in the story.

As it stands, the story is divided quite abruptly into 3 distinct parts, all feeling quite disconnected thanks to lack of continuity: your actual personal story that’s affected by choices made in character creation, your chosen Order story, then Trahearne’s story. The last two aren’t affected by character creation at all.

You know, I haven’t even poked my head into my home district since completing the story and the final 5 man dungeon. I don’t think I’ve been back there since the end of the first part where I had to choose an order.
Is there any reason whatsoever to visit?

She comes back if you pick the tank option, I was half expecting her to come back for a little more of the story.
My bone to pick with it is that if you pick the dead parents option, why couldn’t she be there as well if she appears near the end anyway no matter what options/race you pick, that fight would be a lot easier if you had someone another NPC, took me 3-4 attempts with my thief.

yeah I noticed it was more like “oh my long lost sister I though you were dead…we..wait..Logan wants to talk to me I guess you should just disappear now and we’ll forget this ever happened”

the same with being a street rat and Riot Alice. I was supposed to meet up with her after I beat up the bandit leader but..well..that was about 59 levels ago and I haven’t hear a peep of her since.

I went Common folk who lost his parents, but one the last few story missions I did run into your sister.
