Interesting. From what i hear all (or at least most) of the people that encountered this bug mention queensdale. It was also one of the towers that glitched for me.

In my case (and I presume in some of the cases named here) problem is that only one chest can be opened per map. There are two balloon stands per map, but whenever I open one, other becomes opened and unlootable (unlootable – not sure if this is even a word). This means I can open only half of all of the chests :-(
