Improved Effects Lvl of Detail Sys Question
I would also like to see this introduced as an option. As I’m not a programmer I don’t know if something like this would work with Guild Wars 2’s engine but I imagine a configuration like this:
“Automatic” – particle effects are reduced depending on player/npc population in area
“Low” – particle effects always reduced, better for lower end computers
“Medium”
“High” – particle effects always best detail level

I am 100% on board with this idea. I have a very nice rig, so I would like to keep my partical effects on max if possible. My shinies!
I really like the idea of reducing the effects, specially during World Bosses or big WvW encounters.
First of all, we get to see more of what’s happening, and, second, we may get some extra performance out of these demanding scnearios (I hope).
