I understand that Liadri is incredibly difficult, so let’s just assume this is part of a bonus tier that doesn’t require beating her. Maybe unlock them by doing various things in the world.

Anyway, the Watchknights have a lot of potential that I recognized immediately during the story instance. With Watchknights being able to take on the appearance of ANYONE, we could have epic battles with characters from lore and GW1, and even GW2 battles that might never otherwise be possible. Some examples:

Cobiah Marriner
Mhenlo & Cynn
Gwen & Keiran Thackeray
Destiny’s Edge, with or without Snaff
Forgal, Sieran, and Tybalt
Trahearne (I’m sure a lot of people would love to take the opportunity to beat him up)

A party arena sounds great. Party vs. Destiny’s Edge would be awesome.

You’re kidding me. If they put him in guild wars 2 with impossible odds and Battle Scars he’d literally one shots everyone with the fact he’s unkillable.

He counters condition builds and he counters literally any berserker geared thief warrior or even mesmer.
Given the fact he life steals the highest damage he took in battle scars.

The Skritt King and Skrittsburgh.
Over 50 skritt working together to act as a single entity.

You’ll have to fight them as they do all sorts of stuff, from using player skills to mimicking monster skills. But they will use each of those skills just once.

Reducing the number of skritt is not possible, since those defeated are just revived by the king every 2 minutes as if he was a Priest in a GW1 annihilation + priest area. The battle is all about preventing them from activating as many skills as possible and avoiding as many of their skill as possible to reduce the damage they can do. Defeating them works to stop them but effects like CCs, blocks and blindness work way better.
Oh, and the King is invulnerable as long as there’s at least other 10 skritt nearby.

The fight would be for a party of 5, use one of the lower sections instead one of the upper arenas, require 25 tickets (5 from each player), and last up to 20 minutes instead 2 minutes.

Player can win if:

• The skritt run out of skills to use, since the can only most of them once, and their ‘autoattacks’ a few times (They’ll have an ‘ammo’ effect with 25 stacks that disables their autoattack when they run out).
• The time is over, and none of the players was defeated.
• It’s also possible to win earlier by defeating the Skritt King, but that’ll require to separate it from all other skritt and kill it before enough of them reach him, which would be really hard as they respawn around him every 2 minutes. This method gives better rewards.

Players lose if any of them is defeated. They can be downed, but if one is defeated, it’s a loss for all.

They’ll do stuff like:

• Two of them grabbing a greatsword, then other three grabbing them by the feet, and all 5 together swirl around to perform a Whirlwind Attack.
• Two aiming a flamethrower nozzle, 2 holding the backpack, and a third manning the trigger.
• 4 groups of 5 joining to conjure all 4 elemental weapons, and other 4 using them.
• 9 clumping together and chanting around the King holding a staff to cause a massive version of Meteor Shower. At least 5 of the chanters must be removed to stop the spell.
• Several of them making turrets, then, as turrets are destroyed, they gather the scraps from the turrets and make a makeshift golem ,and 3 of them ride it.
• 50 of them forming a skritt piramid that then shapes itself into a giant made out of skritt, and stomping around for a little while.

Another party arena in another lower section. This time against Modus Sceleris.

All of them together at the same time.

That a lil’ Gwen from pre-Searing. Well, not the one from pre-Searing, the one from the end of beta that caused Spontaneus Combustion.

Yeah. THAT Gwen. That would be a fitting boss for the gauntlet.

Oh. And the Doppelganger.

Not GW1’s Doppelganger that doesn’t look like the player, but one that uses the game engine’s ‘copy’ ability to make the same model. (Well, GW1 can do that now they used it for the “Familiar-Looking Hero” during and and the fight at the end of Winds of Change among other places, but I guess they never had time to update the Doppelganger fight to copy the character model, a shame)

The Doppelganger would have your very same gear, stats, traits, bonuses, skills, everything, but an added bonus to compensate for their lacking AI: Their skills will activate between 10 and 50% faster and/or recharge between 10 and 50% faster, depending on each skill.

Consumables would be allowed just in this fight, but they Doppelganger will also copy those!

And yeah, including magic find consumables. If the doppelganger defeats you with that effect, you’ll drop a chest, and they’ll walk to it and open it, then /point @ and /laugh at you.

Any Destiny’s Edge member is my first choice. (now that I think about it, this is pretty much the same thing from the Norn story, like belcher’s bluff was from the Order of Whispers story)

We should get a gimmick fight against Trahearne where we one-shot him. It’d be very accurate, because Trahearne is a little girl.

Maybe this is a good way to redo the fight against Zhaitan. So you can actually fight him. I’d like that.

Are you kidding? My SoS ranger would ANNIHILATE my GW2 characters while playing an invisible flute and putting on a minipet fashion show.

I mean, this is a guy that successfully solo farmed 8 man instances while only half paying attention. That’s too much power to be unleashed in this day and age.
