Why do I have to buy a new pc for Liadri?
With my usual graphic setting I have 30-40fps more or less depending on the area.
You will not recognize it much, gw2 feels smooth usually.
In the new area I get under 10 fps regardless where I am, when I set every graphic setting to the lowest possible, I get something between 10-20fps.
Red aoe circles pop up late and are hard to see due to the graphic settings not only because of the background. When gw2 was released they mentioned something about that players with not highend pcs wont get in trouble…I just see more and more content especially vertical new areas, these areas just let the fps drop very fast…maybe a bit more optimization in the future or what are your experiences?
When I am in the arena I dont really have to know what the zerg under me does….I dont play any other games currently, thats y I dont really like to buy new hardware just for a mmorpg.
THIS. Totally.
I completed the Liadri kill achievement with a lot of effort, and I’m not sure I’ll be able to achieve the 8-orb one cos of my drop of fps
Maybe instanced content would be more suitable for low spec pc’s owners
I play at 15 fps normally.
At Liadri, I have 15 fps.
I have every temporary achievement in the game.
Please stop making excuses.
Esplen how much have the fps to drop until you complain ? 0?
I have killed Liadri too but it would have been much easier if the fps would be at least 10-20 higher..making it a homeinstance for example would solve it
I tried about 50 times liadri but I had so low fps (8-13) that I couldnĀ“t move fast so I always died. Finally I waited at 4.a.m. so there were less people and then my fps rised to 17 and I could kill her.
Therefore, I can say that lag is harder than liadri and because of this, it should be instanced, not in a place with a zerg.
Yeah, me too, I drop at less than 10 fps sometimes, making very hard to avoid those circles. Guess I’ll try have wait an off-peak hour to try… +1 to the suggestion of making it an instance, that would be good too.
GW2 is a pretty demanding PC game as far as MMOs are concerned; it’s also absolutely gorgeous, so a common problem is for people to try to run the game beyond their rigs capabilities and sabotaging their own FPS. It really doesn’t matter that a card(s) could run game X on extreme-ultra-mega-settings-rawr. There are a lot of other factors to take into consideration.
That said, if you are having performance issue, check and see what auto-detect recommends for graphics settings at balanced. And then drop a few things. Or check what it recommends for performance, and bump up texture detail or aliasing one setting.
Shadows have an immediate impact on FPS and, while pretty, have no functional value. If that is enabled, turning them off is a cheap way to get a few more frames.
Not to say everyone here made that oversight, but more often than not people want to crank up the shiny and then wonder why their FPS drops when things get busy.
