Being ambitious does not pay of after all?
I stay 5 hrs for the “One-time event” last Halloween and got a “One-time cinema” as return. So this time I wait this event on youtube, and other got a “One-time Reward” as return. So sad…
I stopped reading at the testing part. Not sure this is the right forum for works of fiction.
yep fully agree with you OP!
I have to agree. This was beyond anything I’ve ever seen tried in a game before and it was absolutely amazing. I’m very saddened that so many players had connection issues, because without those this would have been one of the best experiences in their gaming history like it was for me.
Internal testing failed exceedingly well. Yes I like to be excited about new content but I also like to be excited about working content.
They are trying something never been done before with huge world events, great, I look forward to and support them on this but they need to test this on a large scale from now on, it failed horribly. I am sure the event would have been more fun if players could see what was going on but an instanced version would be going against what they are trying to achieve so it is up to them to start testing content “Correctly” before releasing it.
Unfortunately its a little hard to appreciate large scale anyone can join events like this when they virtually sold the game off the back of it. It was one of the main promises they made before release and I dont remember them telling us about all the bugs about this very core part of the game. And thats before even the Lost Shore which is just one of a long line of events that were uncompletable for a vast amount of people.
I think its a nice idea, one of the reasons I bought the game and also one of the reasons I’m dissappointed. Events should surely be a “drop everything else and work all night till we fix it” kind of thing when its such a core element of the game, no? Instead there are Temple events in Orr that are stuck for weeks or months on some servers with no fix and events like last night. Why build it up and then have this?
