In love with Fractals......but
The respawn mechanic will make things really interesing in the later levels, it’s one of the things I’m very excited of. I can’t say much about the gear, they’re more powerful, but not by much.
They ought to play-test the Fractals more.
The battles aren’t too bad, but certain mechanics should be tweaked.
Like possibly increasing the swamp’s wisp reset timer by a second or two.
And maybe increasing the radius of the lava dropped on the dredge boss.
The dungeon is made to be more of a survival mode Danno. The fact that the entire team dying is perfect, because it FORCES people to play as a team, if 2-3 members in a party go down then one needs to distract the mob while other heals. It’s very challenging and fun.
And why do you need waypoints? If you die you get a checkpoint to return too, because like i said its more of a survival mode. It fits the theme imo.
As someone who isnt in a guild who know each other and play together often it’s a little annoying for me. I usually just join up with whoever when i go into a dungeon and see what happens.
This last run i was in a party where everyone but me and a hunter were dead and we were running around inside of a locked room because we could not get out to res our other members and continue the dungeon so we were forced to die which just ends up costing me coin in the long run just from repairs. People should be able to respawn and get back to what they were doing.
The gear is more powerful by a small percentage. However, when someone ends up with a full set of ascended they become far more powerful than a person with a full set of exotics. We were told this wasn’t going to happen, and were lied to. That’s my biggest complaint.
Hopefully they correct that and apologize. I don’t see it happening though.

I see where you are coming from. It’s just when in random parties it just becomes a hassle. The team after that though was great until lead left. I would distract mobs while people got ressed or vice versa. I was in water ele a lot to keep heals up. I was spamming AoE cripple and chill like crazy to keep mobs grouped tightly while everyone spammed their aoes. Was very very fun.
Eh i think i would be perfectly fine with it all if i had a dedicated group of people to go with all the time. I’d just rather not feel obligated to be active. If i were in a guild i would feel that way. I like to disappear occasionally
There is no hunter class in this game.
Joining a guild is pretty important in this game because of situations like this. But i do agree the being a shadow in guilds is very easy in this game and its hard to learn who everyone is.
So ill give you advice that i tell most people on how to make your name in a guild. Join one which uses voice communications, whether its raidcall, mumble, ventrillo, and jus go in every now and then and talk to whoever is in there. I’ve noticed that those people are usually the fastest to spread their name around the guild.

Gear debate aside (no customization = mine is better), I like it. I like the only respawn on wipe. Stop relying on death rushing, or maybe bring them revive orbs (I got about a dozen so far just from Cheasts and Dailies/Monthlies).
What I don’t like is the lower reward rate. I got about as much vendor drops (greens and below) as any other dungeon. Only 15 “Relics” for a T1 run seems a little low, when we get 20 for running anything else more than once. Plus no Karma, don’t see why they recently added this to other dungeons to only not add it here. And not coin reward at the end of the three.
So this is the “how could we imrpove the fractals” thread?
I really like that you have to die as a whole grp before you are able to respawn.
Its much more rewarding if the main goal is not just to keep the boss infight and run fast enough from waypoint to boss.
Also i dont have a problem with gear progression.
But there are certain things i would love to see changed.
The most annoying thing is that if you dc or your game freezes (seems to be a common bug in the fractals) you cant join your party in the fractals any more and you have to start all over.
Additionaly to that overflow server have an impact on that too.
Also, i dont like the fractal level design how it is right now.
In my oppinion the highest “fractal level” player should be able to open an instance on his level. If his group manages to complete the dungeon even though they didnt have the proper gear or expierence they deserved it. If they have a wipefest because of lacking that they deserved that too =)
(maybe the players should be on the same level as the highest fractal level player after completion or just gain one fravtal level)
But right now it just makes it much harder to find a full group. For example a guild group of four level 8 players dont want to grind fractals just for tokens and have a hard time finding a 5th player which fits in the group. (this is even harder in this game with no looking fpr group channel or similar stuff).
Apart from that i really want the npc Blingg to shut up. Yeah i even want to have the possibility to punch him…
