I know my post is going to get buried in the heap of complaints from the vocal minority, i just felt like someone should just come out and say that they had a great time with this event.
having played mmorpgs for the last 7 years, i can easily say that this is the best event i have ever played, ever. sure there were some hiccups, and sure there are still some hiccups, but by and large the amount of effort that you guys obviously put in to entertaining us for 2.5 days was incredible.
i was completely misled by the first 2 days, and i wasnt expecting to spend 2.5 hours constantly fighting for my life and attempting to res all the dead players on sunday. i was there from the very beginning, right up to when we accidently caught the liongaurd lady up to the ancient Karka and got annihilated for 30 mins. I was one of the unfortunate that got caught behind in the never-ending horde of karka hatchlings, and yeah i fell through the floor during the very last fight. But i was certainly not expecting a chest that was that awesome, i figured that the treat was getting to take part in the event and that was where it ended.
basically i just want to say thanks anet, you gave me one of the best gaming times i have ever had (for free) and you didnt even have to do it. your dedication to your players should be an example to other developers in all areas of gaming.
