Was it worth it? Definitely yes. The experience alone was unique and unlike any other event chain in the entire game, and I’m glad I got to see it from start to finish.

I’m a bit disappointed that I didn’t even get any level 80 exotics as rewards, while it seems nearly half of the entire server picked up uniques and precursors, but the 20-slot bag and an ultimate earring are more reward than I was expecting anyway.

While I’m sad that it’s not going to happen again, considering how fun it was, at least it proves that the devs can still produce unique and worthwhile experiences, and so long as they continue with this level of commitment, I’m definitely going to keep playing.

I would have to say all in all; this event was definitely worth it.

The first two events were lackluster and extremely buggy, left me with a significant sense of dread about the whole thing today.

Today’s event however felt truly epic and world changing. The exotics at the end were just a bonus to a well-scripted story.

I’d say what makes it really worth it though is the information ANet was able to gather this weekend. They know significantly more about their technology’s limitations and hopefully can come back to do events similar to this in the future with less bugs.

So ya, it was worth it

I got pretty good rewards. My sister got a sword worth 100 gold, I’m super jealous. Overall it was really fun today and more than made up for the catastrophe that was yesterday. Loved the 20 slot bags, too!

The last day was worth it because for me it ran well and it was different. I’m starting to think there should be no rewards for large scale events, so the expectation is set accordingly and you do it for the event itself and nothing more. Obviously your mileage will vary on how it ran technically for you. Another reason for no loot, if you bugged out, you didn’t miss on the loot, just the event.

It was worth it just for the fun of partaking in the event. Yes, all my armor was broken at the end. Yes, it took 2 hours of difficult combat, and rezing countless people. Yes, there were plenty of invisible mobs that steamrolled everyone. However, it was still fun, and I would do it all over again.

Although I’m sure having a repair cartridge, no lag, no disconnections/crashes, and guardian survivability helped me enjoy it a whole lot more than others. I was playing with the mindset that I wouldn’t get any quality rewards (since I never did in the past), so the exotic gear, bag, jewelry, etc was a nice surprise for me.

Gear treadmill aside, I’d participate in it every week if they managed to tone down the event to an hour, give us loot off the reinforcement mobs, and a dragon chest at the end.

Thanks you guys I missed the event, I saw all the cool stuff people got from the event it made me sad. Now im feeling a little better. I’m starting to hate Arena net for this event. Such a tease and let down.

No, weren’t worth it. Left the sorry mess on the island halfway through the fight at the bottom of the ramp, went and repaired and then ported to LA to hang out and do squid all.

I was lucky that I only had such a light repair bill while my girl had one on the other side of 30-40 silver, from the lag, the bad game mechanics when it came to the veteran and champion lobsters. But over all, I don’t think I’ll be doing more events in this game until I have made sure that this horrible pile of fish dung will be repeated again.
